I just looked up the writer for the season 7 premiere and had to laugh at the fact that the guy is actually called George Kitson. You know, as in The Planet of Kitson! Now I'm wondering, if the show you're working for decides to name a planet knows for brothels, crime and gambling after you, do you feel honored or insulted? Anyway, I did a tiny bit of digging on imdb and noticed that the guy has had a long history on Agents of Shield. He's been assistant to showrunner Jeffrey Bell from the second episode up until 2016 to the end of season 4. Afterwards he's listed as production stuff. This was when he switched to the writing department. He and Sharla Oliver had already written Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.: Double Agent in 2015, and in 2016 he wrote his first episode for the actual show with 3x16 "Paradise Lost" (The one that gave us a glimpse into Malick's past. Coincidence?). In 2017 he wrote 4x17 "Identity and Change", and for the fifth season he did episodes 9 and 18, "Best Laid Plans" and "All Roads Lead...". For the sixth season he was promoted to story editor (so he also had some oversight over "Fear and Loathing on the Planet of Kitson"! ) and now for season 7 to executive story editor, with "The New Deal" being his first "written by" credit since season 5. Way to go, dude! Now gamble away! *starts looking for the alien space candy*
