Sooo... anyone got an account yet? So far I've heard that they've been dealing with some technical issues in light of the big number of customers on the first day (now if only that could have been predicted beforehand ), but I'd love to hear some more impressions on content, etc. For me, even if I were actually interested in getting an account, I would have to wait till March next year when Disney+ becomes available in Europe.

I've been streaming all morning. No problems, except for Mandalorian, which won't load at the moment. Not bad. No login or lag problems, things seem to stream okay in HD. Actually watched all of Rogue One, since I never bothered to see it in the theaters, plus a couple of Marvel exclusives. I'm currently about halfway through the documentary "Assembling A Universe", about the MCU.
Edit: I do believe "Assembling A Universe" is the same as the one that filled for AoS a few years ago, since it ends early in Phase II. It's rather quaint to see their view of things before the MCU got weird with Guardians, Dr. Strange, Captain Marvel, AoS traveling in time, etc.
I've noticed that ABC's Inhumans and Agent Carter and Hulu's Runaways are available, but AoS is not. Well, not yet, anyway. Can't wait to get further into the catalog.
And I'm not sure how much anyone follows Disney, but One Day At Disney, is one of those perfect reasons why Disney+ should exist. It's a (coffee table) book about a day at Disney, with an accompanying documentary on Disney+, streaming on Dec 3. So we're already seeing multiple divisions of Disney (publishing, creative and Disney+) combining to create multi-media output. Good stuff.
Disney+ would be a perfect venue for streaming parts of the special D23 events at Disney World, D23 Expo, etc.
So far, so good. Of course, I got an unbeatable intro price as well, so there is that.

I heard of the blackouts that the app has been having. I have not experienced that. HOWEVER, playback issues I have is the video freezes but the audio plays normally like the screen is frozen. I found if you rewind it back a bit, it corrects itself for the reminder of the program. I can't wait to watch home alone on the service during christmas.

I should download the android app and set up an HDMI connection from my PC to my TV... Maybe this weekend... At every major D23 event I've been at, they've taped it all from the back of the room. It would be great if they edited a bunch of that stuff and put it on Disney+. Dave Smith talking about the Archives, the Legends telling their tales of building Disneyland and Disney World...
The story of Baby New Year (a little person in a diaper, only slightly drunk) being pushed off the Matterhorn to welcome in the New Year, is worth the price of admission. So is the story of the Seven Dwarves promotion, where the 7 dwarves got drunk at lunch and mooned the crowd at a Snow White premier...
And, if you missesd it....

It's being reported that Disney+ had 10 million subscribers day one.
Disney had projected 8 million by the end of the year.
Yep.

So being an old fart, I'm still rockin' a PS3. Which doesn't/won't support D+. And I'm not really interested in watching all that stuff on my iPad when I've got a big TV.
What are the other options?

The Apple TV doesn't have the app yet, so what I do is launch it on my phone and cast it to my Apple TV. Seems to work okay. Not sure if there's a way to do that with a PS3, though.

So being an old fart, I'm still rockin' a PS3. Which doesn't/won't support D+. And I'm not really interested in watching all that stuff on my iPad when I've got a big TV. What are the other options? Finally got to play with this. I've got HDMI output directly from my desktop, but no cable long enough, lol. I thought I had a 15' cable (and I'm pretty sure I do someplace), BUT... My laptop has 1920x1080 HDMI out. (Laptop is being generous. With it's 17" screen, it's almost a desktop replacement, but it makes working with Photoshop and Premier much easier on the road.) So I played around a little. Logged into Disney+ using Firefox. (I've now got three devices hooked into Disney+ so far, my phone, desktop and laptop.) Connection via my Wi-Fi choked. Couldn't stream fast enough to do HD. So I hijacked my PS/3 ethernet (I'm currently on a 10mbps ADSL) and restarted Disney+, and darned if it doesn't look and sound great. Granted, it's not a 25mbps picture you'd get from say, a blu-ray disc, but it looks better than OTA broadcast HD. You can pretty much leave the laptop on the other side of the room and control everything with a wireless mouse. Hmmm... So if you've got any device that can output full HD, see if you can get an adapter cable from whatever your device outputs to HDMI, and try connecting. You might even be able to use your iPad. Regarding the PS/3, the red laser in mine is dead, and the blue has problems. I'm thinking I could replace the PS/3 with a micro-PC (like a Raspberry or Orange Pi) as my media server if I can get it to work. It might even be enough to use my desktop as a media server, I just need to find that cable...
