Because, yeah, they just looked like bats. Dangerous bats, sure, but nothing that looked particularly alien.

Kinda wished they were viruses or maybe some kind of weird alien bug or something. Or even a face hugger from aliens. Face huggers kinda gross me out because of what they do.
