It seems a lot of people here don't get the 30 second preview shown directly after the show. (Or at least, they don't watch it.)
At least here, they run the credits over the preview, so I've been assuming almost everyone sees it.
I often use that preview as spoilers in my episode review. If most don't get to see it, I'll use spoiler quotes. In a spoiler thread. But I digress...
(It is the only preview I'll watch. I wasn't sure if I was going to spend all of S6 spoiler-free, but I think it's a lot more fun that way...)

My DVR often cuts out midway through the previews. In any case, I turn the DVR off before the previews start in order to avoid spoilers. When I watch previews after watching the episode that was being previewed, I find that the previews are about evenly divided between previews that disclose little, previews that are misleading, and previews that I am glad I did not see because they revealed too much.

Previews and trailers fall into the same bucket for me generally. I look forward to the "not too distant future" where my TV will "know" that I already plan to watch the next episode or the movie etc. and I'll just get an add for window cleaner or something instead of an ad for something I've already decided to see.

When I was a kid, one way my sister and I would put off bedtime was to ask to watch the "scenes" for the next episode. I always watch them and find that many times they are misleading or so out of context that they don't reveal much. That being said, I don't really mind vague small spoilers, and I watch the trailers for the movies as soon as they come out.

The nice thing about almost ALL of AoS previews is, they are generally the first minute or two of the following episode...which just leaves you wondering what is going to happen, yet does not reveal almost anything at all about the next episode's plot.

You remind me of my own childhood, when we got to stay up 5 minutes extra, to watch the beginning of Mission Impossible, until the tape melted! Good memories. Your mission, should you decide to accept it..... pssssssssssht poof

I don't get it (in Canada) How do they show the post-show credits? Are the rules different in Canada? (I thought the credit scenes were a SAG requirement, or something.)

Credits are "normal" in that they just come up on their own. Not over top of a preview or shrunk to one side with something else etc. They're required for sure like anywhere else but CTV (the network that carries the show in Canada) doesn't do anything special with them (that I've seen). I really wouldn't want a preview anyway as I'm spoiler-phobic so I don't watch all the credits - maybe they actually do a tag at the end that I never see.

I get the full 30 seconds after the credits and I always watch it.
I usually can tell that there's no episode next week, because they don't play the preview for the next episode, but they did play the preview after 6x04 so maybe ABC forgot there was no episode Friday too?
