I have the first three on PS3 platform, and love them.
Anyone tried out the fourth installment yet? I cannot afford a new PS4 platform at the moment! Curious to know what people think.

I haven't tried any of the games yet, although I heard they're really good. I used to have a PS2, but I barely ever used it, so I sold it again at some point. I still plan to get a PS4 eventually, when money allows it, but only once a couple of PS3 titles have been made available. Heavy Rain is a game I really look forward to especially, as well as The Last of Us and Until Dawn. As far as Uncharted is concerned, my main point of interest right now is that Brett's name had been tossed around as a potential candidate for the lead in the movie adaption, although I have no idea if that's still open or not.

Yes, Brett's name has been tossed around, and so has Nathan Fillion. Honestly, either one could be a really good fit. Nathan Drake is quite a character!.. some funny lines in there that would be good for either actor. The game really does develop some good relationships, if you play it from the first installment. P.S., I didn't even notice it was you that snuck into our shout box last night, until I reviewed it later. Good timing though. See, I really did wish you could have joined us

Isn't Nathan Fillion a bit too old? I've heard Chris Pratt's name in regards to the Uncharted role as well, but as much as I love him, I hope he won't get it. There should only be so many franchises at the same time, starring the same lead.

the second is probably the best, but the first is really good too, and important story-wise. The third is a bit shorter, and has a couple of areas where it seriously bogs down (one interminably long cut scene that you cannot avoid, and another in the actual game-play), yet it is nearly as fun, as well.

As far as Nathan (either one) goes, in the game they even steal one of Malcolm Reynold's, captian of the Firefly, lines. I have even heard they kind of modeled the character after Mal. And that is believable enough, they are very similar.

As well as the male lead in Jurassic World, Passangers and lots of other projects down the road. As for Nathan Fillion, I just looked up his age and he's actually younger than he looks. Still, I think when talking about an action hero role, age is a very valid argument. Nathan is 47 this year, make that 48/49 when the movie is actually getting shot. Provided the revenues are good, I can bet you the studio will aim to make this a franchise, so that means more movies down the road. By that time, Nathan will be in his mid-fifties! Sorry, but my opinion stands: he's too old for the role.

It goes on my list of MCU movies to see, along with WS, Thor, Ironman, and now GotG. Thanks! I'm not gonna apologize about my age though..beats the alternative...and I am dang sure still a kid at heart! Peace out.

I might make the occasional quip about it, but at the end of the day, I don't really care at all about how old anyone on here is. We all share at least on common interest - AoS - or else we wouldn't be here, and that's all that really matters to me. Yes, I do care if an actor is too old - or too young for that matter - for a role, but that is an entirely different issue.

You in no way offended me In fact, you are one of my very favorite people here. And I totally understand your point about an actor vs. the role they play. Age does matter in that regard, in either direction. Its all good, I promise! And thanks for giving me something to reply to, LOL beren44<------wearing a cheesy grin over his 100th post! WoopeeDoo... I am now a full Agent! ===>Holo-table, ON<=== Honestly, forget about all that stuff. It is all in the name of fun!

Now excuse me, gotta go, important Specialist work to do!

Isn't Nathan Fillion a bit too old? Without re-injuring a fully healed wound, I just got to thinking.. you have not played the games, and may not realize how much the characters age over the course of all 3 games. <now 4> There are literally decades involved. Including a good bit of flashback to his childhood. Marriages, divorces, and re-connections are all involved, I don't want to spoil it TOO much.... So, depending on the theme of any forthcoming movie, anything is possible and/or plausible. Just thought that was worth mentioning.

I guess we'll just have to wait and see who they're going to announce to play the character. I would still love for Brett to get the role, simply because that would be his big break. I've recently heard that Sony is going to make some PS games playable on PC. If Uncharted is among them, I guess I might be able to play it myself sooner than I'd thought. There's no way I would start with any of the later parts, though. All the way from the beginning, or nothing!

Especially the end of the second installment. It will ease the pain of ME franchise. Promise this is not in any way a spoiler, but I will just say one word concerning the end of Uncharted 2: "Clowns" Now you have something to look forward to!
