I do not have access to Amazon Prime, but I am glad that Farscape is being made available. I have not watched the show in a while, but I still have VHS tapes in my closet. If I ever get around to posing my thoughts on the fifth season of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., there is a section where I cite the handling of the two John Crichtons as a good example of how to handle a situation in which there are two equally valid versions of a character, one of whom dies after taking a significant step with his love interest, that Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. could apply the situation with Simmons and the two Fitzs (Deceased Fitz and Frozen Fitz). I also drop hints that it might not be the first time that Farscape influences the MCU.

I hope you do find time to post your thoughts on AoS season 5!

Update: There are now at least two ways to stream Farscape for free, at least in the United States. One is on the Free TV section of redbox.com under Action, Sci-Fi & Horror. I do not know if you have to sign in at the site to see the show. If you do, expect a few marketing messages per week. Redbox does not show episodes on demand. Instead, it is a 24-hour channel of just Farscape. The other way is at Kanopy. Kanopy is a streaming service that one can access for free through participating libraries, such as a local public library or a university library. You get a certain number of credits per month (called "tickets") that you can use to check out films or television shows for a few days. I get 15 tickets per month, but this may vary depending on each library's agreement with Kanopy. For five tickets, one can check out a season of Farscape for 21 days. For those not familiar with Farscape, this is how I described the show in the thread I mentioned above: It is a science-fiction show in which the characters travel around the galaxy, often getting into trouble. Some of the main characters were: Peter Quill John Crichton—The main character who is not merely the only human in the team but the only human this far from earth.Gamora Aeryn Sun—A reluctant (at least for a while) potential love interest to the above who had worked for the antagonist but very quickly switched her loyalty to the other characters.Drax Ka D'Argo—A member of a warrior race who wishes to avenge his wife who died at the hand of someone else allied with the antagonist.Rocket Rygel—A diminutive, wisecracking character with a high opinion of himself. He is not played onscreen by a human actor.Groot Pa'u Zotoh Zhaan—A humanoid plant.Nebula Bialar Crais—Started as an antagonist who had worked directly with Gamora Aeryn and remained an antagonist for a while but eventually worked with the rest of the team.
All the characters, except for the last, joined together as a team during or immediately after a prison break and quickly bonded into a family. The show had a light comic tone. In other words, this show was a major influence on the Guardians of the Galaxy films. If you like those films, you will probably like Farscape.

I'm so glad it is streamable again!
