I thought we had a thread about Continuum, yet I could not find it so, a new one...

First of all, if you have not watched Continuum, I suggest you do so. I have been stuck pretty close to home lately, taking care of mom, and I have watched more reruns than you can imagine. Including shows I have never seen. And, Galactica, Buffy, Dollhouse, Firefly, most all of Star Trek, etc.

Upon a re-watch of Continuum, I have a new appreciation for the overall story, some exceptionally well done roll-casting and acting, and a well produced show. Yes, you have to take some agile steps to avoid some large potholes in the road regarding a few implausibilities, and a few plot-holes, although I would wager they are no more than any other show out there.

I in particularly noticed, after becoming familiar with Buffy, that Kellogg from Continuum, and Spike from Buffy, are two of the most interesting characters I have seen. Without going into detail, I am just curious if anyone else has watched both these shows in depth, and can see the similarities.

Aside: Continuum lost a lot the 3rd season, IMO. Somewhat redeemed in the brief 6 episode wrap-up they were awarded for s4. The first 2 seasons, though...wow...pretty good sci-fi, as far as I am concerned. Anyone else have an opinion?

Actually, I highly recommend it. Great show, and almost every actor is well casted, and really sells their character. I say 'almost' only because Tahmoh Pennicut is in it, and I kinda have a thing against him, in Dollhouse, Battlestar Galactica, AND Continuum. I just don't think he is a very good actor. Other than that, it is a good show, with a good story. After seeing some other shows and revisiting this one, I am realizing just how high quality it is. Of course, there are some typical tropes...the bad guys have all the aim of your typical Stormtrooper, etc..but nothing you don't see on every show out there. I hope you will find time to watch it! Time travel is well dealt with, Fitz would be having fits.

Edit: I will add, there are a couple of plot twists that you will NOT see coming... good writing!
