All the SJW crap I've seen is the typical (IMDb type of) dumpster fire, BS that spreads across social media like wildfire. It's not the best of the MCU, IMO, but it's heads and tails above IM3 and I'd watch CM 100 times before I'd watch BvS again. For me, CM is a good origin story that pays good respect to the MCU's past and rests comfortably somewhere in the middle of the pack as far as rankings are concerned. It's a damn good film and Larsen did a better job than what the pre-release haters were giving her credit for (or lack, thereof). I think this is one that you can wait until digital release and you're not missing out on anything really important (but add the end credit scenes to your want to see list prior to seeing End Game.....) And, I hear ya on the funds preservation thing. I'm having an expensive early Spring. CM is my last fling for a while, but I do consider End Game necessary spending.....

I bet you 10 bucks the mid credit scene will show up exactly like that in the actual movie, like they did with the end credit scene of Ant-Man, featuring Cap, Falcon, and Bucky, that showed up in Civil War. So it's more like a sneak peek into Endgame, but nothing you miss out on if you don't see it beforehand. The post credit scene of CM was funny, but didn't provide any relevant information whatsoever.

I'm waiting to rent so I can ffwd through the credits because I can't handle being forced to listen to Hole. It's like nails on a chalkboard for me. Speaking of songs, Just a Girl is an odd choice for a fight scene. There's nothing saying a movie set in the 90s couldn't use a song from the 80s. Pat Benatar's Hit Me With Your Best Shot might have been a better choice. Not that I don't love No Doubt, but it's just not a song you think of for a fight scene.

That was honestly one of my favourite scenes of the movie, though! And while I guess they could have used a different song, I disagree that it could have been an 80's song. We already had the 80's - music wise - in GotG, and CM was firmly set in the 90'. Taking a song from another decade would have defeated the point imo. Also: I thought the song went very well both with the "girl power" message of the movie, as well as the curb stomp nature of that fight scene in particular.

Actually, most of GotG was 70's songs, not 80's. Ignoring, of course, that they used the 2012 version of the Bowie song.

And from what I hear, CM used a song by Nirvana that wouldn't have yet been out at the time the character was remembering hearing it. I was never a Nirvana fan, so that would have gone unnoticed by me lol.

Obviously I know that most GotG songs are from the 70's, but I have to admit that I mistakenly remembered "Bad Reputation" instead of "Cherrry Bomb" from the first movie, and that would have been 80's. Regardless, my main point still stands. The CM movie is basically screaming "This Takes Place In The 90's!" at every possible turn, so it would have been stupid to take anything but 90's songs for the soundtrack. The actual choice of songs might be up for debate, but not the decade from which they had to be taken.

And if it was screaming "This takes place in the 90's", it would have needed at least 3 times where the same Pearl Jam song started playing, though 8 would be more realistic. And I just pulled up the soundtrack and two songs that jumped out at me were "Kiss Me Deadly" from Lita Ford (previously in the Runaways BTW) from 1988 and "Crazy On You" from Heart in the mid 70's (one of my suggested songs for AIDA back in that thread).

Well, if you insist on being a know-it-all, you could have gone one step further and actually checked the use of those specific songs. Because both are used in flashback scenes. "Kiss Me Deadly" in one taking place in or shortly before 1989 and "Crazy On You" in one when Carol is still a girl, so presumably somewhere around the mid 70's.

How old is she supposed to be currently? I'm guessing the Kree blood helps her look younger than her actual age then? If she was a kid in the 70s, she couldn't be any younger than 39.

Somewhat intentionally vague but I'm sure there are clues others have spotted. Feels like mid-30s though. I would agree that both her powers and the fact that she's traveling through space would make her current age/appearance somewhat open to interpretation.

I just can't believe there isn't some chatter going on here yet. I have not seen it , but 2 days, and no comments? Get your priorities straight, people...I wanna know what I am missing! i have sen it. I liked the movie. Atlot of fun stuff, espically with Fury. There is a lot of critic on Brie, but I thought she did a good job. Defintely not worse than the other marvel actors.

Hold not thine breath methinks. But yeah - there's room to do it if they really cared. If they don't I'm sure someone will fan-fic something where Coulson is the one Danvers looks for in Fury's absence and he's the bridge between her and the remaining Avengers (and others) if there's no instant trust between everyone. Oh my. If you watch the comic-con video that caseyrook AKA Mechelle posted this weekend, Clark Gregg drops a huge hint (joking? who knows-Ming Na just bit her tongue and wore a funny expression) about an Agents of Shield movie after Avengers:End Game is over. We shall see..
side note: by far the clearest audio and video I have ever seen from a comic-con. Thanks again, casey!
