The Battles of Wakanda and Titan happened after the Battle of Chicago which was in an alternate reality, the deciding battle between Talbot and Daisy in which Coulson was saved, but Earth was ripped apart. Now since this happened before The Decimation, Vision was destroyed in the planet's destruction, which means the mind gem was also destroyed. Thanos would be oblivious to this fact and he would have never had the full infinity gems set and the rest of the universe was saved. The caveat is that Earth would be destroyed and decades later, the Kree would enslave Humanity.
/end of brief thesis.

I already wondered about whether the Snap ever happened in that reality. Seems kind of additionally awful to think that all the people who had been saved in the Lighthouse were decimated by half anyway. That said, though, I very much doubt that the destruction of hte Earth would have destroyed the mind stone as well. It would have killed the Avengers and Thanos' children, of course, but I'm sure Thanos would have been able to track an item as powerful as an infinty stone even in the rubble that was left of Earth.

There was plenty of warning the Earth was going to tear itself apart, recall the Zephyr scene where they were flying w/Robin back to the lighthouse, so Maw, et.al., could have beamed themselves up.
Now for the timeline, isn't Talbot told Thanos is in New York? Thanos was never in New York. Maw and his pals were in New York. Since the destruction of Earth happened a bit after that, Iron Man, Strange, Spiderman, The Guardians and Thor would have all been off-planet.
Is Vision actually alive in a human sense? IOW, if he can live without oxygen, he could have just phased himself out when the Earth came apart, and wouldn't have been affected. Don't know where he would have gone, but hey, it's the Comics! Maybe Attilan.
That said, Thanos was only able to get the stones he knew existed. He didn't know where the soul stone was until Gamora told him. I have to agree that the stone would survive something as minor as the Earth coming apart, but I'm not sure how easily the stone could be found.
Should I mention the problem Thanos may have had when he teleported himself to a broken up Earth to get the stone? I'd like to see a deleted scene for that...
