I'm a huge fan of the series (see my signature!) and I'm definitely looking forward to Andromeda, even though I'll probably wait for the price to go down a bit before I get my copy. So for now I'm staying away from the hype, but I'm still psyched to get another game in the franchise five years after ME3. (Damn, five years; doesn't feel that long ago!) Just like with Dragon Age, I never really played around with different classes, etc. for the character over the three games or made different decisions during re-plays. I play the character I want to be and I make the decisions I think are right. There's youtube if I ever really want to know how other directions would have played out. So for me my character was always FemShep, paragon, vanguard, earth-born, sole survivor with Kaidan as my LI and him and Garrus (or Wrex on occasion) as my go-to squad! There IS no Shepard without Vakarian! I still got ME3 installed, so if anyone ever wants to go a round in the MP (PC only!), hit me up!

ayanami oh I so wish you had it on PS3. I have both ME2 and ME3, although I have never played the original. I rarely play games online anymore, but I would LOVE to shoot up the galaxy with you I bought 3 first, so my outcome options were limited. Last time I played them both in order, and imported the character. I did better, even ended up with Liara as my true love! LOL. Still, I agree with many online, that the end is disappointing, no matter how well you make your decisions. I am a huge game fan, my favorite two are probably Mafia 2, and Red Dead Redemption. The first because its mindless fun with a good mix of gameplay along with a good story. Same for RDR, and it has the bonus of really feeling like the area where I grew up, half a mile from Mexico. Both are open-world games, where you can kinda go through it and explore, or just chase the story. Cheers, talk soon!

Oh, the original Mass Effect was great, especially in regards to the story. I’d say the gameplay improved a lot in the second and third title, but neither of those can hold a candle to the plot, character development, etc. in the first game. Although I guess it does lose a bit, if you play it later on, simply because you already know a lot of what’s going to happen. Still, though, awesome game! All three of them! But, yeah, you and the rest of the Internet are definitely right in that the ending of part three was less than ideal, to put it very mildly. I actually do love the multiplayer part they added, but at the same time I’m wondering how much better the main game could have been if they hadn’t pulled people and resources away from it to work on the MP instead. The ending was such a slap in the face, and imo the extended cut didn’t make it much better, either. Sure, it gave a few glances into what would happen down the road (that they even needed to make an extended cut to include something like this! How could that not have been in the original ending???), but it didn’t completely negate the colour-coded ending and at least one issue became even worse: Just how exactly my LI went from the midst of the battle onto the Normandy. In the original cut it was just a small wtf moment, but the extended version suddenly included this weird “time-out” scene right in the middle of the assault! Like, what the hell were they thinking??? Ugh, there were just so many oversights in Mass Effect 3, not just in the ending, but there especially, that really shouldn’t have happened in an AAA game. Even less so in a series that ran over five years. But, I still do love the game, even with its flaws, and it’s definitely time again soon that I give the entire series another replay! P.S.: Searching for these pics just led me to delve into my massive Mass Effect folder and now I really want to play the game again!!
