Not saying that anyone is copying or ripping off another film.
But my all-time favorite western is Sergio Leone's Once Upon A Time In The West and there is a part of that film's score that seems shared between the two films in certain scenes, at least in the Captain Marvel #2 trailer.
No, no it's not the signature haunting harmonic rift that plays when Charles Bronson's character Harmonica is on screen but the dramatic build-up after that.

There are several other sequences and scenes that are similar and it appears that the two films share something in common, at least to me, based on the trailer only.
Still the music in the 2nd Captain Marvel trailer is on a slightly faster beat but the two are so similar to me. Captain marvel Trailer #2

Once Upon A Time Duel Scene
There are several other sequences and scenes that are similar and it appears that the two films share something in common, at least to me, based on the trailer only.
- Jude law with this confident walk. Jude's gaze fixed towards and at someone. For OUTITW Frank's gaze also fixed in a slow walk version, Henry Fonda's confident swagger towards a young and later to be named Harmonica.
- The expressionless, apparently emotionless and enigmatic Harmonica in almost every scene of this movie who is seething in coiled but controlled revenge rage towards Frank. Carol with that same enigmatic visage. At least in the 1st trailer, not all trailers.
- The scene where young Harmonica is trying to save his brother and the older brother doesn't want Harmonica to suffer. It is at that point when harmonica gains his power through his brother's sacrifice. Similar it seems to me is when we see Carol getting zapped and the dust flying around her. Both scenes appear in flashback memories but who knows if Carol's memories are real at this point though.
- In the CM trailer there is this Klaxon repeating underneath part of the music. For Once Upon A Time In the West there is the Harmonica rift playing underneath or is it something else? Can't remember at the moment.
