I agree on all counts. Would love to see a WW/Cap team-up...... The Geriatrics: Now in Technicolor........ Oh, please, compared to WW, Cap is a spring chicken! Barely hatched. A team-up with Thor would be much more realistic, age-wise. Never said they're the same age, only inferred they're both elderly. Nit-pick much? Besides, WW is a cougar She likes the young stuff.........

Oh my, I try REALLY hard not to get into any kind of political/religious/racial type discussions here, this board is way way too classy for that. But you are discussing my town! And you don't have all the facts. First of all, I am [without inside knowledge], pretty certain that reply was worded by a staffer, not the 'guv. And I agree, the OP in that thread was a class-A you-know-what, and deserved a dressing-down. And I don't disagree with a word in the reply, it was well done. However,... The current mayor is slicker than a well oiled duck sliding down a well greased water slide. We have not had a mayor or police chief in the last 25 years that did not have the interests of big business and commercial-development/real-estate as their main agenda. Our once beloved little/big hippie-type town has been forever taken over by big-city, big-greedy, big-traffic-problem people from both California and New York. (sorry to pick on anyone in particular, I'm sure there are others) There are very very few corners of town left, that live up to the famous town motto of "Keep Austin Weird". It certainly used to be, and yet it is getting 'cleaned up', corner by corner, block by block, and soon there will be nothing left to enjoy. Rant over Peace and love, just had to give you a bit of insider info.

I expected a reply from you that would include an education on the local politics where you'd either bathe him in praise or describe how despicable his is. Glad you didn't disappoint. I am not entirely devoid of reasoning and fully expected the Mayor would be someone I'd not normally say that about. I chose to word my post as I did to emphasize my appreciation on how the Mayor('s office?) responded to the situation.

I am quite certain that if you polled all of Austin, I would be in the minority. And I find it amusing that although my complaints in the post sound liberal, I would lean toward conservative... Libertarian is about the only ideal I have any affiliation with though. I just want Freedom! And double-bubble Peace and Love to you, I will read a reply, but this is my last word. {edit: I just re-read that and it sounded rude. That was not my intention at all, I will talk about it all if you like. In a new thread, of course] And very sorry I accidentally sidelined your thread

Saw it this afternoon.....
....you're waiting for what I thought about it, aren't you?
....still curious?
.....ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT! Seriously, this... THIS is what I've been wanting so badly from the DCEU. Loved all the characters, loved the relationships between the characters, loved the story, loved the humor. I laughed, I cried, I cheered. Now, granted, the taste of BvS hasn't been completely erased and I'm still concerned about Justice League, but this movie was definitely a step in the right direction!
The only downside was the lady right next to us who brought her young girl to it. I'm talking young enough that she doesn't know how to whisper and not old enough to understand what's going on onscreen and so every 5-10 seconds was asking her mom (again, not whispering) what was going on and what this or that meant. It kind of ruined a lot of the big moments. We'll probably try and see if we can go see it again in a week or two (maybe pick an early morning showtime less likely to have little kids)

Yeah, I had been wary about Wonder Woman for a while, but after I've seen Rotten Tomatoes' stellar 9.2 rating, I'm fully on the hype train now. Pardon my French, but it sucks frickin' balls that I have to wait until the 15th for the movie to start here in Germany!

I finally saw it tonight and I agree with everything you wrote. I loved the fact that she was never once emo. She had her disappointments, but there was never a poor, pitiful me scene. I also liked that they did not make her strong by making the men incompetent, she had her strengths and so did they. I hope Justice League has the same level of entertainment.

Just got back from seeing it.
In my opinion, this movie was everything that Batman VS Superman tried (and failed) to be. Meaning it was AWESOME!
I found it to be just a tad slow toward the end but that may be a problem with me, not the movie itself.
I did get distracted by this movie's 'Steve's' similarity to one Steve Rogers though.
Now, I need to see it in theaters two more times to tie it with the new 'Pirates' movie.
