I recently made a post about re-watching "Eureka". When I did, I was near the end of the 3rd season, and was really enjoying it. After watching further, I thought it took a left turn with season 4, and the writing slid downhill quite a bit, or rather, the show took a big departure from its initial feel. Toward the end of s4, no other than Ming Na shows up, (I had forgotten/never realized) that she was part of the show. I guess I should add spoiler tags for anyone who hasn't seen season 5 of Eureka, so... The plot line that she is involved with is damned near the same as the Framework. Maybe not *exactly the same*, yet I would dare anyone to argue with me that the similarities are pretty obvious. I have to wonder, did she contribute to the story line of the Framework, or did she just bite her tongue and not say that 'this has already been done'.
Gotta add that I loved seeing Felicia Day show up in the series. She is one of my favorite, quirky, goofy, Sci-Fi actresses around!

I'm not sure you hid the spoiler, although I don't really think anyone should expect to not be spoiled for a show that is no longer on the air. I haven't seen the series so I can't really comment on the similarities, but it is hardly unusual to have a false reality play a part in a sci-fi or fantasy show.

yeah, I finally got it right! damn HTML! I keep putting <> instead of [] for tags, and it screws up the whole post. If you like silly entertainment, I would suggest the series. It is lots of fun, along the lines of 'The Librarians', or 'Warehouse 13'. In fact, there are some crossover episodes with Warehouse 13.
The similarities are quite more than casual, though.. I think if you watched just the last episode of season 4, and the first 5 or so episodes of season 5, you would agree...it is damned near a direct rip-off.
Although, AoS pulled it off with a lot more class, in terms of writing, and also having Mallory Jansen hitting several home runs out of the park

I for one appreciate spoiler tags in that case. Not "required" by any means, but I think many people discover older shows they never watched the first time on boards like these. With so many streaming services or just boxed blurays the market for old shows is thriving. Plus there's so much on that sometimes you have to decide "I'll catch that show later rather than follow it when it's actually on air".
