I've reached adulthood. I moved out of my parents' house (though I occasionally drift back to spend a few nights at my grandma's) and now i've gotten myself a second job as a ride operator at Six Flags St. Louis.
I already had the first round of training. Tomorrow is Department Training. Then after that it's on the job training. Hopefully I get to operate one of the huge rollercoasters.

Update:
I run two rides, a roller coaster called Boomerang and a free fall ride, the Superman Tower of Power.
I got spit on the three days ago by an asshole 16 year old boy who spit at the top of the tower. I'm still mad.
Otherwise, I'm having a lot of fun. I play Marco Polo with the people at the top of the tower and on the lifts of the Boomerang.

If you want a laugh, there's a website called " stupidguesttricks.com", which is mainly a Disney Cast Member site (but has other Cast Member/Park Employee forums, too), and documents the theme park experience from another perspective...

Conga-rats!!! I wouldn't like the being spit on thing, but that sounds like overall it must be a pretty fun job!

That reminds me of my job at the movie theater I had back in the late 1990s/early 2000s.

In the time since, I've been cussed out by adults three times for telling a child they were too small to ride either ride since they need to be 48 inches.
Seriously people, it says at the entrance (and exit) that that's the height requirement.
Thank God I haven't yet had to tell an amputee Veteran that they can't ride because you need atleast one functioning hand *and* one functioning leg to ride.
