...The Infinity War. I was just watching Thor Ragnorok and I just noticed how Odin's death was similar to Thanos' finger-snapped victims. Turning into dust.
Was this mentioned before?

Haven't seen it mentioned, but Frigga's funeral had a similar treatment.
Not really the same as "the snap" people IMO but I do see the similarities.
Not sure that's foreshadowing or just similar effects being used.

After just reviewing the effects used for "The Snap" as well as Odin's death and Frigga's funeral, I have to disagree entirely on this matter. Sure, they all "dissolved" in some way, but that's where the visual similarities stop. Frigga turned into bright white lights, very closely resembling the stars she then joined, while the mist of lights Odin turned into was golden, reminiscent of his usual golden attributes. The visual effects of "The Snap" on the other hand were grey/black, looking pretty much like ash that the characters dissolved into. In that regard, it much more closely resembles Agents of Shield's splinter bombs effects, actually, and I think we can all agree that Agents of Shield didn't foreshadow Infinity War.
