This might be a "why I hate Amazon" thread more than a Black Panther thread right now... Since Amazon didn't even bother putting Black Panther on sale until today (Amazon really needs to settle their pissing contest with Disney about their Blu's), I pre-ordered from Best Buy. (Had a gift card.) Even with free shipping, it arrived yesterday, a day before release. Had I ordered from Amazon (even if they were taking pre-orders), it wouldn't have arrived until next week. Not sure why anyone is ordering video from Amazon these days... Hari Seldon: Is that you on blu-ray.com? Saw some posts by a hariseldon, and thought the name looked familar...

I actually pre-order almost all my movies from Best Buy these days (I'll only go with Amazon - with anything in general (movies and other stuff)) if there's absolutely no other choice - such as getting the Agents of SHIELD blu-ray's from Amazon's UK site). Not only does BB have the steel-books. But yeah, like you said, they tend to ship early in order to ensure - at the very least - day of release arrival (if not before - heck, there have been sometimes (I think for me it happened as recently as with Thor: Ragnarok) when the shipment has arrived the Saturday before the official Tuesday release).
