Upfronts may happen before the finale. Would you like to know if the finale will be series or season before it happens or try and avoid information about a renewal until after the finale? I would request that if we have any NO votes, that all posts avoid divulging the info publicly until after the 20th (some don't see the show until the weekend).

I voted "I don't care either way." I understand not wanting to know whether the show has been renewed before I see the finale, but I think that it is near certain that I will learn about the official decision from another source anyway. I can support putting details about the sixth season (e.g., who is or is not returning) in spoiler tags as such information may spoil the finale (e.g., who dies or whether a death will likely be reversed).

I'm not sure you could avoid it even if you wanted to. There's always some twit who puts it in the title (not here, but places like youtube, imdb, etc.), and for a renewal, it's probably the headline. I don't care either way. Either the renewal is, or is not. But I have a theory...

Yes, because if I go in knowing it's the last episode we will ever get (without a miracle) I'll be able to knowingly savor every second of it.

(I put it there because it was an extension to a comment I previously made.) I'm wagging the writers already know they've been renewed, and we're seeing a shift in focus of the current arc for continuity into S6, rather than the end of the show. It seems odd there would be an entire change of tone in the last four episodes of the season (and possibly series.) So it might be wishful thinking, but I'm betting on an S6.

For example, today I saw a picture of the dog and the young blonde woman from Inhumans with a headline: Do you really need to open this spoiler to know what will happen to Inhumans? OK, the headline was that ABC cancelled five freshman shows. I was not looking for the result (in fact, I have been trying to wipe the show from my mind) but I stumbled on the headline and picture anyway. The decision on a show that lasted for five years will be even more prominent. I still think that a statement like, "Henry Simmons and Jeff Ward will not be returning to the show," or "The sixth season will start on [date approximately ten days before the next Avengers film comes out]" could be a spoiler. However, spoiler tags should be sufficient for that.

It legit took me days to remember that Henry Simmons is Mack's real name lol. Funny enough, I knew Jeff Ward was Deke, but forgot Mack's real name.

I'm surprised you didn't see the resemblance. I read someplace that AoS is one of the last shows not to know if it's renewed or not. I've been thinking this might be probably intentional. If the season's renewed, Coulson obviously lives. I will laugh if they wait until the finale's over before they announce...
