..Thor. His parents, brother, best friends, his homeworld, some of his Avenger teammates, most of his people. All destroyed within a 5 year time span. Poor guy.

Yeah, one of the things I really appreciated about IW was that they took the time to deal with Thor's grief. (Kinda like them making up for his nonsense arc in AoU.) In hindsight, though, I'm kinda confused about Thor proclaiming that Thanos killed half his people. Okay, so we only saw the devastation on the bridge in the beginning of the movie and it is possible that on the rest of the ship Thanos' thugs really just killed half of the refugees, like they did on Gamora's planet, but then the whole thing was blown to pieces! So unless there's something I'm missing, or maybe a deleted scene that showed what happened to the likes of Valkyrie and the rest of the Asgardians, Thor is one of the last of his kind now. Not the last, as I'm assuming here that Lady Sif is still out there and there's the occasional Asgardian tourist or history professor still roaming about the galaxy, but that's pretty much it. Well, here's hoping that Avengers 4 will somehow undo the destruction of the refugee vessel - of course for entirely altruistic reasons that have nothing to do at all with a certain trickster god - otherwise Thor is now the king of about three people.

I thought at one point that Thanos was taking the other half as slaves or warriors or something. But yeah, clearly it's "half" since Thor says it and Thanos sort of had that M.O. but where are they? Did Thanos let half escape in escape pods or something?
