For the while there, I was actually a bit concerned about there being zero promotional material for Infinity War featuring Jeremy Renner/Hawkeye. I thought they might turn him into another Scott Summers in X-Men 3, as in, kill him off in the first two minutes of the movie. Then, however, the internet had to remind me of this story recently, and my concern for both the actor and the character dissipated instantly:

For some reason I can't help but wonder if this is the reason Marvel has been shunning the guy in all their promotional stuff...

Now, I'll admit that Chris joined in on the issue, but at least he apologised later and didn't go on a frickin talkshow, basically repeating all that crap. Now, Jeremy might insist on him just talking about "a fictional character", but at the same time, he clearly judges her behaviour and even compares it to real people in the Conan interview. Mind you that there was no indication that Natasha ever actually slept with any of the Avengers, and even if, those movies took place years apart. But, hey, flirting and "leading all those guys on" absolutely makes her a slut and a total whore. U-huh.

Oh, and, fyi, I've been called a retard and a bimbo by multiple guys for saying that Jeremy Renner deserved all the backslash he got for that statement! Yay, internet!, she said sarcastically...

The in-film rationale worked for me and I'm hoping Hawkeye is back in A4 (it wouldn't make much sense if he's not given the stakes).

Honestly, I don't think Hawkeye is important enough a character at this point to warrant a recast if they're truly pissed enough with Jeremy to kick him out. I suppose there might be a cameo appearance in Ant-Man and the Wasp, but if thats not the case, then Im sure there has to be some behind-the-scenes reason for his absence from Infinity War.

Jemma Simmons: I will say that is one thing that Agatha All Along got right. They did a phenomenal job of planting hints throughout but it not really being obvious until the end. Reminded me of WandaVision that way. Nov 10, 2024 23:03:26 GMT

ayanami: Also, should have scrapped and re-done episode 2 from scratch. Not a horrible episode all together, but what a slow, low-budget let-down from the pilot and the general MCU world in general. I bet the ratings drop between eps 2 and 3 was massive! Nov 10, 2024 23:11:30 GMT
