Just saw the movie. It is as good as I had hoped and dreamed it would be. What a movie!

Glad you like it.
I'm a bit concerned about some aspects of it. Mainly how they will handle Thanos. Some previews and some things said by people who've seen it make me worry. I mean, I'd really hate to see them go all Criminal Minds with Thanos. That is to say, try to make the audience feel too much sympathy for him. That's all well and good for the unsubs of CM, but I feel it would be a misstep to go this route with Thanos. He is supposed to be this big badass. Making him too sympathetic would take away from his badassery. So, I hope they don't do that. Less is more in this case.
They managed to make me love Loki as a villian (sort of like BTVS's Spike- pre-chip) without making him too sympathetic. Yeah, there was a little, but it was not overdone. So, I hope they managed to balance it effectively regarding Thanos too.

I just watched it. Can't say that I really understood it, especially the ending. But I'm sure the storyline continues and death in the Marvel universe isn't final.

What was there not to understand about the movie? If there's one complaint I could name about IW, it's that I thought the plot was a bit too simplistic.

The disintegration of so many people there at the end. Plus I'm hard of hearing and missed a lot of the dialogue.

The disintegration of so many people there at the end. Plus I'm hard of hearing and missed a lot of the dialogue. Well, that was Thanos' plan all along, to get all the Infinity Stones so he would have the power to wipe out half the universe. That way - so his logic - the other half wouldn't have to suffer from dwindling resources anymore and could live good lives instead of suffering from poverty and starvation. It's what he claimed about Gamora's people, that those who were left after his massacre there were much better off in the long run. So, once Thanos had the Mind Stone from Vision and his set was complete, he snapped his fingers and 50% of the people in the universe randomly went *poof*. Btw, could you maybe add spoiler tags in your previous post. This thread has been spoiler free so far, and I guess those here who haven't seen the movie yet would appreciate if it stayed that way.

How do you do that? I've never learned. Edit: Never mind. I found it.
