While talking about Coulson and his seemingly sudden trap-walking-into habit with Twitter friends, I made a list where Coulson himself directly fell for a trap, or fell for a trap in general.

Notice it gets worse as the seasons go by:

SEASON 1
'The Bridge'

SEASON 2
'A Fractured House'

SEASON 3
'Laws of Nature'
'The Inside Man'

SEASON 4
'Wake Up'
'The Man Behind The SHIELD'

SEASON 5
'Orientation Pt 2'
'All The Comforts of Home'
'The Devil Complex'

And that's not counting the times he gave himself up or went in *knowing* it was a trap, I.E, 'One of Us'.

I can think of a few other possibilities.

Coulson (with May, Daisy, and Trip) walked into a trap at the end of "Ragtag."

"S.O.S." probably counts as him knowing that it was a trap except that he was already headed to Jiaying's carrier before Daisy warned him about the trap.

I do not know if "Paradise Lost" was a trap or if it was simply Giyera being resourceful.

There was also a trap in "Absolution," but, other than the fact that Coulson was in charge of the base, it is hard to blame him for that one.

I'd count "SOS" because I counted "A Fractured House" which had Coulson sending his agents into a trap because he himself fell for it.

I forgot about 'Ragtag' and honestly I don't remember that season 3 episode very well because it's a season 3 episode and the only scene I do remember clearly is Coulson having a mental breakdown as the world comes crashing down around him as that murder he did, suddenly comes back to haunt him.
