In cases of extreme distress/anxiety, I have the ability to make myself forget things but it has to be very specific situations and I do it by closing my eyes, telling myself to forget it, and then immediately distracting myself.
I think it comes as a coping mechanism from having been bullied from a young age because of my 'issues'.

So, I just used this video to forget all about this show called Agents of Shield, which you guys here seem to be enjoying a lot. Considering I have all the episodes on my drive and even seem to have written some stories about it, I decided to give it a go again right away. So far I've only seen a few episodes, but I quite like it. Already shipping Skye and Ward like crazy! (No spoilers here, please! I don't even want to know when they finally get together. I expect there'll be a lot of will-they-won't-they beforehand.) I also really like the science twins and May is totally badass although she could open up a bit more. Oh, and I'm very curious to find out what exactly happened to Coulson. After seeing The Avengers, his death certainly seemed like a lot longer than just 40 seconds.

If it worked, it would be nice to try on my wife when I say something to set her off, but somehow it would just manage to cause more problems I'm sure.
