I went and saw BP with my brother last night (rare occasion for us as he has a 50/50 shot of acknowledging he is not an only child) and I loved it. It was a very refreshing dip into the MCU. It deserved the acclaim and the rave reviews.
But when it was over, I couldn't help but wonder how AoS can Tie-in, or even reference it, especially when the movie takes place a week after the bombing of the UN building in CA:CW, which was almost two whole seasons ago in AoS time.
All I can think, is that maybe they could take a character who is theorhetically dying to Wakanda...
If the show don't acknowledge this movie at all, i will be so annoyed.

"...especially when the movie takes place a week after the bombing of the UN building in CA:CW, which was almost two whole seasons ago in AoS time." Kind of answers your question........ Personally, I don't expect a connection with this movie (just as there wasn't one with Thor Ragnarock). I am hoping for an IW connection (however menial), but don't even really expect one there either as the MCU has pretty much come down to AoS doing its own thing and the movies doing their thing. It seems that "conncetions" have become really subtle, like seeing stuff on a news crawler. I mean, think about it...... we're always on about the show remembering its own stories and staying consistent with itself. I care more about that than connecting with the movies since all it usually amounts to anymore is AoS giving some basic, worthless, nod to the movies as if to say, "See, we're part of the MCU, too." AoS has transcended that sh!t and now stands atop its own peak; same mountain range as the movies, but a different (and IMO, taller) peak. They don't need to play second fiddle to the movies. They are their own orchestra.

They managed to tie into 'Dr. Strange' pretty well and they never actually mentioned him or any of the characters from that movie or any of the plot points. It tied into it because of the magic portal and dimensions stuff and it worked. I think they could handle a tie in like that with BP without ever mentioning anyone or anything from the movie and be fine. I *want* it to be 'all connected' so I can throw it in the face of the trolls who scream "AoS isn't in the MCU!" on Facebook when I'm in the right mood to feed them. (Bad habit, I know). I will agree that AoS can stand on its own, though. I think AoS can both tie in to the movies and also stand alone without their support because I see those tie-ins as a "Framework" if you will...

I think AoS can both tie in to the movies and also stand alone without their support because I see those tie-ins as a "Framework" if you will... the magic portal Yeah, that one slipped right on by my memory. It was still subtle; though, not as subtle as my aforementioned news crawler example. Still, I never expected it to connect to BP as it seems all eyes are on IW. However, with the Infinity Stones involved, there's a plethora of ways for the MCU to avoid an AoS entanglement.... I mean "connection".... to that movie as well. I guess I'm just getting burned out on all these "connection" discussions/arguments. I've come to the point that "same universe" doesn't necessarily mean crossovers/tie-ins. Between AoS, Netflix, Hulu and the upcoming Freeform show, I'm content with letting the movies be the center of the Universe while the smaller galaxies orbit around on the fringes. That said, I understand your frustration because five years ago Marvel's tag-line was "it's all connected" and all they had to connect were the movies and AoS; and they did a good job of it in AoS S1 and S2 but it started tapering off a bit after that. I sometimes think that they let it lapse a bit because AoS didn't end up being as popular as they thought it would be. Let's face it, AoS has never been a ratings power house and wasn't serving as the "tweener" Marvel had hoped for. It ended up being more fan service than connecting thread. If AoS had become a ratings power house you can bet we'd have gotten more direct and meaningful tie-ins (maybe even to the point that the Avengers know and admit that #CoulsonLives). As for the trolls....... shame on you. You know better than to feed those beasts. Let 'em starve and they'll seek easier prey elsewhere.
