Cyberpunk / tech noir detective story set in a future where switching bodies is (almost) as easy as downloading a file. Featuring one of the best casts and most well-conceived group of characters I have ever seen! Like, seriously, everyone was great in this! Joel Kinnaman and Will Yun Lee both did a fantastic job as Takeshi Kovacs and I can't even decide which incarnation of the character I loved most!
This is really where the showrunners and writers outdid themselves. Everything about this show is fantastic, from the story (although I must point out that I kind of called the solution to the murder mystery from the beginning), the set decorations, costumes to the special effects, but imo, the characters are what shines the brightest. No matter how many actors portray a character, or how many characters an actor portrays, each of them is distinct and very lovable, even if it's just in a love-to-hate-them kind of way.
But I have to say, I'm almost embarrassed that it took me so long to realise of whom Joel Kinnaman in that coat kept reminding me of:

Anyway, if you, like me, enjoy a show that gives you a good mystery, with a multi-faceted world where not everything is explained from the beginning but comes together like a puzzle instead, you just have to check out Altered Carbon! Ten of the most beautiful hours of television of my life!
