Ok, riddle me this...shouldn't Enoch have been washing his 'skin' in ep. 1, instead of rinsing off his non-tasty bionics in the shower? Hmmm...

But did he wash himself?

Was Enoch even a living being? He said he ran on a battery. (I suppose his plastic side could have run on a battery, but 30K years is an awfully long time for a living being.) Being sentient doesn't necessarily equate to living. Ask Vision.
The better question might be, why was he showering at all? Rinsing off environmental dirt?

I wouldn't call that an error. It's more like an excentricity because he also swam in his swimming pool with his skin on.
Maybe his bland tasting insides needed rinsed off because he had a build up of battery acid?
In my mind, any questions I have about Enoch, I'm mentally equating them to the same questions about Data from TNG. I feel like that's the least headache causing avenue to ponder those questions.
Edit: Or maybe chlorine seeped into his internal structure and he needed to rinse it off?

It's one of those things you aren't supposed to think about too much. He's in the shower with his human skin left outside because they want us to see that the human suit isn't really him but don't want to show us what he actually looks like (probably because of cost of designing and building his true form).

In other words, glaring error although I give caseyrook AKA Mechelle best answer so far, about chlorine. But still..

I really want Enoch to appear in the finale somehow, for a book-end to the season. They are often clever about doing such things in this show. Another opening swimming pool scene of some sort, or, well, you get the idea...
I am trying to find a reason to like season 5. So far it has not been easy. The best I can take away from it to date is, that Chloe Bennett's acting has really notched up [and I was never one to knock her in the beginning, I thought she did fine]. This season she has shown a new depth, I believe. I really rooted for her at first.
That being said, I am NOT all that pleased with the character. Daisy was impressing me pretty positively, kicking ass and taking names in the first half of the season, until she became the unofficial 'leader' of the team. Then she starting making 'Daisy-dumb' decisions again. She just ain't ready yet.
Last random rant: I seem to keep coming back to the fact that May is probably my favorite character in the entire series.
