Which is your favorite, and why?

I like Homecoming because it places Spidey in with rest of the MCU. Of the non-MCU movies I would say I like the original Spider-Man the best. The Green Goblin was an over the top villain, and Willem Dafoe really played that to the hilt. And well, J.K. Simmons is J. Jonah Jameson.

Honestly this would be a situation where I'd love to combine elements of all the films. I went with Amazing Spider-Man mostly because of mechanical web shooters. The Spider-Pimple in the Toby Maguire films really irked me. Though I do think the first and second films in that series were very good. Was tempted to pick Homecoming which I really liked but ended up passing on it since I think being part of the MCU sort of feels like cheating in a way.
But yeah, give Toby mechanical web-shooters, let Tom Holland take over when he suits up, keep J.K. as JJJ, Rosemary Harris as Aunt May and Emma Stone as Gwen and you might have something.

I think I'll have to be old-school here.

I went with Homecoming, while I enjoy the Toby movies... I just never really felt like he embodied either personality of the character (Peter or Spider-Man). Andrew Garfield (again, while I do enjoy his movies) was a bit better, particularly at bringing across more of that snarkiness while in the suit that I felt Toby didn't quite get. Homecoming and Tom Holland I feel like they finally got the character right + there's the added bonus that (even though I know Tom is older than Peter) I believe that he's this teenage kid. Toby never really felt like a teenager in that first movie (and maybe that's why they didn't spend much time in high school in that movie... which is a crime, IMO, being this teenage super-hero in high school is such a big part of his origin to me)... again, Garfield was a bit better... but Tom is really the one that I think pulls it off.
Just my opinion, of course.

Just my opinion, of course. Definitely agreed regarding the age. Toby was major Dawson-casting! The whole cast was, in fact. None of them looked like they just finished highschool. Still, the original Spider-Man movies and of course the X-Men were the ones who truly ushered in the new age of superheroes, and for that alone Toby will always have a special place in my heart. Even when he went through his emo phase!

Just my opinion, of course. If the vote was specific to favorite Spider-Man/Peter Parker then I'm right with you for sure. There are a bunch of different ways to look at this. Best adaptation, best overall film, props for bringing superhero films along, best overall "franchise" etc. etc. No wrong answer really - other than TASM2 that is.

I usually go for the original as I never feel THAT level of excitement again about a movie; especially, comic book super hero movies. I doubt even Infinity War will give me the excitement that the first Avengers movie did. That said, Homecoming DID excite more than the first Spiderman movie did. I was over the moon when I saw Toby's first SM on the big screen. Even though I didn't care for Toby as either Peter or Spidey, it was awesome to see the web head on the big screen. Then to see Doc Oc....... man what a thrill (even tho they dicked that up) But, Homecoming was a whole new level of awesome. When I saw Spidey on Civil War, I knew this wasn't a spidey, he was THE Spidey. Homecoming was maybe my top movie of 2017.

I'm not a real comic book person, but I do know that he actually grew up in the comics and became an adult. Even though Aunt May is drawn as older in the comics, I do like having her be early 50's - 35 years older than Peter is plenty. Rosemary Harris was in her mid 70's for the 2002 version, making her almost 60 years older than Peter, just too much age difference for an aunt.
