I'm sure there's spoilers in the chat, but I haven't read it yet. LiveChatS05E07.docx (24.73 KB) I'll just say, instead of his, "I'm trying to do the best I can" speech to Mack about the location of the weapons, I think he should simply have said, "It includes the shotgun-axe." and let that be what won him over.

DAMMIT! THAT'S NO WAY TO END THE EPISODE! (Well, okay, it probably is, but...) Great episode. I think it moved the story along at a rapid pace compared to the last few shows. Even though the title says spoilers, I mean, there are really spoilers here. If you haven't seen the ep, stop here. Really. I mean it... Major moments: Damn. It was probably evident that Robin was the connection in this, but that would have made her around 100 years old. I wasn't sure they were going to actually have a live connection between the two time points. It does explain how the guys on the surface knew who, where and when the team would appear. And the Zephyr made it though. How cool is that? GRAVITONIUM? Well, everyone was wondering where that stuff went. And it answers my complaint on how the Lighthouse has gravity. I wonder if we'll ever see the backstory to the Zephyr and how they got the Gravitonium. Was Quinn on the Lighthouse? (Of course the Gravitonium on the Lighthouse didn't have to come from Quinn, but this is Agents of Shield we're talking about.) Come to think of it, Hunter was probably on the Lighthouse or the Zephyr. Watch Zeke turn out to be his grandkid... Lesser holy cows: Here I thought Jemma slit Casius' throat. I suppose making him imperfect might be just as good, but I thought Jemma should have off'd him. Now he's a wild card. For a couple of minutes I thought Sinara might turn, but that disappeared when you saw the look on her face when Casius' brother got stuck. Here I thought Casius was a dick. His brother turns out to be a DICK. 'Course, he's now a dead dick, so that might be a moot point. And the Kree bleed blue! Some sports team should adopt the Kree as a mascot... LOL at all the blood when the Kree kills the guy outside the elevator. Humans must have a lot of blood in the future. A fragmentist? Is that what they call the people who believed in the prophecy? More Star Wars: Flint, dressed in the cloak like a Jedi with a Obi-Wan kinda reveal. Oh, and how he killed the Kree commander was very cool... Daisy: "Mr.and Mrs. Boba Fett will be here any minute." Funny lines: Mack (to Fitz): How the hell did you get in the future? Fitz: The long way. Flint: "Less arguing, more figuring out what the hell we're going to do." Very to the point. "That ought to buy us some time. Or not." You know Phil, maybe you outta shut up once in a while... HAhahahahaha.... Yoyo: "Level 3? You mean the level infested with aliens that suck your blood?" Fitz: "Well, how was I supposed... I'm not getting enough credit here. I've traveled through time and space to find you. I think we're moving past that bit a little bit too quickly!" And Fitz is moving around pretty good for someone who just got shot... Coulson: And landing... That's impossible on account of these ships weren't built with landing gear. Daisy: So you have no idea what you're doing. Coulson: I had a flying car. How different can it be? Still don't know who built the lighthouse. I am beginning to trust Enoch a bit more. Well, if the preview they showed is actually in the next episode, it should be a good one. It looks to provide a lot of answers. (It did sorta spoil the fact the guys survive the landing. Well, okay, there wasn't any doubt, but hey...) This show does a way to start sorta slow then shift into high gear, and I think they're picking up the pace...

All you people have made great points so far and I'm just I've here like, "WHY WAS COULSON'S AIM SO OFF?"
I wish I could go back to the days when I didn't have issues with Coulson in nearly every episode. I really do.

I liked the ep, but not as much as the last two. It was somewhat bland. More moving forward to the endphase of this arc. Still, some great dialogue and quotes. I did like the Kree soap stuff. Sinara made a big step forward and I hope she is gonna kill Kasius. I love how she blundly stated that she had killed that Kree guy.
The team getting back together was fun to as was the little tidbit between Fitz and team Mack about level 3. Also loved Enoch stating that May might be considering a career change. Forshadowing? Also Fitz comment about two digits. That was a nice reference to the ep Seeds, in S1. Where Ward stated that the science department had no defined mascularity and Fitz dtated that operation didn't all have IQ's in double digits.
Gravitionium. Could be just put there by the Kree to create artificial gravity or it is foreshadowing the big bad who destroyed the earth: Gravitonium. And also the means to get back.

What kind of baffled me about the scene with Fitz and Mack, talking about the secret stash, was how unspecific it was. Even if said level wasn't swarmed by alien monsters, searching a whole level of a station that it still run by their enemies seems kind of complicated. Couldn't he have give some more detailed directions? Otherwise, the scene was gold, though! "I feel like I'm not getting enough credit here." ROFL!! Also, note how the triumphant/dramatic music in the scene just cuts off as Fitz says the weapons are on level 3. Yeah, the gravitonium! Without a doubt THE biggest surprise of the season so far. (Right next to: *space* being the Earth in the future!) Did not see that coming! Gotta say, Kasius and Sinara are quickly climbing the ranks in my all-time favourites list of of this show! I was really pissed at Kasius for betraying Sinara last week and agreeing to let her fight to the death against Skye, but he really redeemed himself in this regard this week when he offed his a-hole brother. "You want to belittle me, sure, go ahead. You want to call me a disappointment, a coward or even a disgrace, I don't really mind. You can even threaten my life and I will let it slide, but you so much as attempt to take my girl away from me, I'mma gonna end your bitch ass, like I should have done years ago. Brother." Well, that's what I heard between the lines anyway... "You're just a coward, who hides and stabs his enemies in the back." "And in the front." *stabs* *dies* ROFL!

And the bloodbath continues..... Thought it was a great ep. Good action and pushed the story to a new chapter. Highlights: - Everything Fitz; except him getting shot (but at least it wasn't Jemma) - I actually like how Mack and Yo-Yo bonded with Flint. - Flint. Cool powers and the actor is doing a great job, helping make Flint really likable. Hope he stays around long enough for more in depth character development. - Sinara/Kasius relationship. Interesting dynamic there. It was past time for them to get some spotlight and I'm glad it happened here as we turn the page to a new chapter. Things are starting to come to a head and having a good understanding of the antagonists raises the stakes a bit and deepens the intensity. - May's scene with Enoch was great. Enoch needs to stick around for the rest of this, and all future seasons. Maybe not permanent regular, but definitely as a regular returning character. Seems it never hurts to have a Data.... - The Kree brothers showed the difference between cruel and psychotic...... and fans are rooting for the psycho. Means the writers are doing a good job with the character. - Zephyr bunker. NOW the entire team is together again...... - Robin. Can't wait to hear what she has to say. I hope it's not all in parables..... - Glad the writers hadn't forgotten about Gravitonium. Lowlights: - The Kree use of gravitonium....... Seems to me they'd use it to fashion a weapon instead of mastering its properties to create artificial gravity. Gravitonium would be far more powerful, and valuable, than the Inhuman farm they're running. (I wonder what happened to Dr. Hall?) - The flow of the ep seemed a little off. I didn't look to see who directed, and I wonder if it's someone new. - I wonder why they need gravitonium for artificial gravity in the lighthouse but there's been no loss of gravity on the surface (of the remaining crust of the planet). Oh well, I'll chaulk it up to the required suspension of disbelief...... Now for the thing that really REALLY bugs me (probably more than it should): Daisy said " the last time I saw Yo-Yo and the others, they were in a salvage area." Seems to me she'd normally say "Coulson and the others"....... Bothered me the instant she said it on my first watch. WTF? She always put Coulson first in prior eps, but now it's Yo-Yo and the others. Again, WTF? Like I said, it probably bothers me more than it should....... but it does. Anyways....... on to the surface where Robin can explain what the hell is going on; and, the team can learn how to get back to 2017 and the loving embrace of Gen Hale.

Oh well, I'll chaulk it up to the required suspension of disbelief...... Or perhaps the gravitonium was already there before the Kree arrived and when they found it they decided not to mess with it. It's not like playing with it has gone well for humans and perhaps part of being a more intelligent race is knowing not to mess with something of its nature. I scanned back looking for when Daisy last saw the others, and the last instance I was able to find was when she made her way down to where they were and was hiding around a corner while talking to Yo-yo. From looking at the scene it seems that Yo-yo is the only one of the group she actually saw and was only told that the others were there without actually seeing them. It's about 9-10 minutes into 5.3.

I actually didn't think about her last interaction with the team. Guess I need to do a S5 re-watch. Still, even taking that into consideration, it seemed out of place to me; and, it demonstrates of a level of writing continuity we don't often see. Thanks for the plausible explanation.

And the bloodbath continues..... In different colors too! Been thinking about this. This isn't Framework or Darkhold stuff, but supposedly actually in the future. What's to stop Flint from coming back with the Team? He seems to be a perfect kid for Mack and Yoyo (and if you're going to tell me the writers aren't taking that relationship seriously, you haven't been paying attention . If the team comes back from the future and prevents the catastrophe in the first place, the Lighthouse and everything/everybody we're seeing will cease to exist anyway. (In this reality.) He is supposed to be an observer. Who has no tasty innerds. As an aside, how does Kasius send people to the surface? A ship? Transporter beam? How did Enoch get there? I'm not sure it's the difference between cruel and psychotic, as much as it is one is cruel and psychotic, and the other is cruel and psychotic on steroids. It will be very cool if they use it to get back to the Lighthouse. If it was always anticipated by Robin, she would have prepared it for the purpose. It had to have been there to prepare the Lighthouse pre-catastrophe. Nothing on the Lighthouse suggests people could have survived zero (or extremely low) gravity. (They could do a short series about the prep they did before Earth broke apart.) It's the same gravity that's on the ship when they've taken it out. It just is. And become despised. I want to see SHIELD go galactic.

And the bloodbath continues..... In different colors too! 1. Been thinking about this. This isn't Framework or Darkhold stuff, but supposedly actually in the future. What's to stop Flint from coming back with the Team? He is supposed to be an observer. Who has no tasty innerds. 2. As an aside, how does Kasius send people to the surface? A ship? Transporter beam? How did Enoch get there?I'm not sure it's the difference between cruel and psychotic, as much as it is one is cruel and psychotic, and the other is cruel and psychotic on steroids. 3. I want to see SHIELD go galactic. 1. I agree. Mack and Elena are definitely a thing...... and the writers are building up to something. They do seem quite parental, lately and it's probably derived from their experience in the Framework. I could see them adopting Flint as their very own. For a while now I've had a feeling that either someone would come back with them, or all of them wouldn't make it back, or both. Them taking Flint back doesn't seem all that far fetched to me. Better him than Deke. If Deke comes back you just know he'll be the next Mr. Johnson wannabe..... 2. Weren't you watching? Enoch took the elevator. I guess the ground level entrance is still intact? That's probably how the Vrellnexians got into the station. 3. I thought they ARE in the Lighthouse. Damn. Now I'm confusethed. As to the gravity on the surface, maybe the gravitonium in the lighthouse is strong enough to maintain surface gravity, too? (doesn't explain there still being an atmosphere though) You're really on the Despised bandwagon aren't you? I think you'll get your wish. There's no way in hell they go back to warm fuzzies. They'll have to fight to survive while, yet again, trying to save the world.......... Is it just me, or did Flint get comfortable with, and control of, his powers a little too easily/quickly? Much faster than Daisy and Joey, that's for sure........
