This a copy and paste job so sorry about that part I didn't write. If I remember I will attach it later.
5x06 “Fun and Games”
Written By: Brent Fletcher
Directed By: Some guy whose first name is actually Robert
Word Count: 7,051
Act 1
They let Clark play with the Marvel logo as it does its usual fade to solid red thing, but then fades again so that the letters fade to solid white over an old red toolbox. We see Flint wake up under a work bench and start packing his backpack, including a Rizzoli and Isles DVD/album/book? I couldn’t tell. He then takes what looks like a letter opener that’s been sharpened into a knife or just a smaller knife with a more rectangular blade and cleans it as he tells himself he’s “going to have to do it”.
We then see him walking the corridor. He sees a woman named Gretch pushing a cart with random stuff. He had found her a tin the size of a bar of soap, but she only gives him one token for it, not 3 which he had wanted at the least. After he talks to her, he is passed by a guy with a tray of fruit named Citrus, because of course. Flint tells him, “I don’t have enough today but maybe tomorrow you could,” but Citrus keeps walking and Flint doesn’t bother to finish his sentence.
At Grill’s window, Grill is surprisingly nice and tells Flint, “Sorry junior, no gimmes today.” Flint tells him he doesn’t need charity, only Grill’s best offer and hands the knife to Grill. Grill looks it over and nods and the next thing we see is Flint happily eating an orange as he enters the Exchange. He sees a Kree preparing the platform for the Terrigenesis ceremony and goes wide-eyed. He turns around to get the Fitz out of there but another Kree is behind him and tells him “We’ve been looking for you.” The Kree grabs him and we see the orange drop on the floor.
Next, we see Mack, Elena, Coulson and also the director of the episode round a corner. Coulson is telling the other two about Kasius breeding Inhumans to sell and says the “guy has his own Cronenberg science division and everything.” (Neat background detail, we see a guy with the red toolbox from the beginning walk behind them from right to left).
Elena says that would explain all the ships arriving and Mack asks if Coulson thinks they’re there for Daisy. Coulson says, “Afraid so.” Elena then asks, “Still no sign of May?” and Coulson responds by saying normally May could hold her own, but her leg was in bad shape.
They round another corner and Tess runs up to them, obviously having been looking for them. Coulson asks what’s wrong.
Tess: “It’s the Blues (Not my hockey team). They’ve come to harvest the children.”
Cue Title Card (And wow that was a lot to write before the title card)
In Kasius’s den (which I found out used to be the Director’s office) Lady Karaba enters after the main black servitor and walks past Fitz and Enoch and Enoch tells Fitz who she is and that she is a “demented brute” and says her affection is a curse to anyone who receives it.
Next walks in Senator Gaius Pronarian and Enoch informs Fitz that he is repulsed by the sight of him and that even the Senator’s “closest friends find his temperament to be that of a diseased child monster.”
Fitz then takes a few steps over and states, “So Kasius has assembled the worst of the worst” and Enoch tells him “do not fear. You are far more reprehensible than any creature in this room.” Fitz replies, “Thanks for that, Enoch.”
Enoch says, “Your quite welcome” and that constructing his alias was a rather fun pursuit. He then informs Fitz that Fitz is no longer Leopold Fitz, but Boshtok, a vile space marauder of unlimited wealth. Enoch seems quite pleased with himself.
Fitz is taking his left glove off as he asks if the brooch he is wearing on his jacket is necessary. Enoch tells him yes (quietly) and that that medal signifies the number of enemy lives he’s taken. Fitz remarks that it feels odd to be wearing a medal with little rhinestones on it. Enoch observes that that is quite amusing and asks if he realizes those are ‘Geg-ku larvae’ as Fitz (who had just used his spit and finger to shine it) then rubs his fingers on his jacket because eww.
Fitz turns to look at Enoch directly and puts his hand on his shoulder and suggests that they drop the charade, find the others, and shoot their way out. Enoch considers it for a split second and says that chances of survival for each individual would be less than 2 percent. Fitz had stopped listening however, because Jemma had entered the room with a tray of food and is at a table with her back turned.
Fitz looks like his heart has skipped a beat with his jaw dropped as he breathes deeply. Enoch nonchalantly identifies her by saying “That is Jemma Simmons. Would you like me to broker an introduction?”
Fitz turns to Enoch again and gets close to his face. “Why would I need you to introduce me to Jemma Fitzing Simmons?” He asks angry and whispering only he didn’t say the F word. Unphased, Enoch explains that it’s marauder protocol. Fitz doesn’t respond, grabs his mask and goes to another guy followed by Enoch.
The camera pans from them to Kasius and Sinara in the center of the background. Kasius is going on about this “sniveling horde” that mocked him for all those years but now hover about, clamoring for his favor. He chuckles slightly as he notices Sinara is zoning in on Fitz. Kasius tells her he, too, is unfamiliar with the marauder and that his fortune is rumored to be vast (do Sinara and Kasius communicate telepathically? Why would he say “I, too?”). Kasius then says, “You want me to keep an eye on him” and she looks at him with a look that says, of course, dumbass. Kasius gives her a quick look back and then calls to Pronarian, addressing him as “old friend.”
The scene shifts back to Jemma at the table. She is cutting a piece of fruit as she looks out at space through (yep, totally Coulson’s office window). Fitz comes up behind her and whispers to her that it’s him, to not turn around, and just play it cool.
As Fitz exhales and says he’s missed her so much as we see Jemma act as though it’s possible she can hear him. As these looks on her face continue, Fitz is telling her about how he “spent 6 months locked up in an off the books military prison, not to mention 80 years frozen in space, all just hoping to find you, and here you are.” When he finishes, she moves to the other end of the table and begins to pick at fruit that is in a big bowl as Fitz looks down at his mask. He gets closer to her again.
Fitz: “You know, I realized something. The universe can’t stop us ‘cause we have crossed galaxies, we have travelled through time. We’ve survived the bottom of the Atlantic just so we could be together. Now a love like that, that’s stronger than any curse. You and I, we are unstoppable together. I…I don’t want to live another day without you.”
Fitz then positions himself against the table behind her again because she had moved to face another direction. He continues, “So, Jemma Simmons, will you marry me?”
He pauses for her response, but she doesn’t react to him in any way. “I know-I mean, I know I said, ‘play it cool’ but I didn’t mean this cool.” He looks at her concerned and says her name again. He is about to touch her arm when Kasius comes and interrupts.
Kasius asks, “Is there a problem?” and Jemma turns around. She goes wide-eyed as she sees him and the two exchange the briefest looks ever before Fitz turns to Kasius and points at her angrily. “I asked your servant a question which she ignored.”’
Kasius apologizes and tells him his servitors are only allowed to hear the voice of their master. Fitz keys in on this and demands that Kasius tells him how his guest needs are met when they (slaves) can’t hear them (guests). Kasius turns Jemma’s hearing back on and says “there” and then goes on to tell Fitz that “this one is quite exemplary. In fact, she travelled through time with the Destroyer of Worlds which probably explains *touches Jemma’s face* her flawless complexion.”
Fitz asks if she’s for sale and Kasius says “not independently” because she comes as an accessory to Daisy since she is “quite adept at motivating the Destroyer.” Fitz mulls this over and tells him that he finds that the only “motivation people ever need is pain. And its proper application.” Kasius smiles and calls that a wonderful sentiment and then claims he should have expected no less from a man with such and impressive brooch. Fitz fakes that he is happy about that statement “Ah” and Kasius tells Jemma that he needs her to go see what was reaped from today’s harvest. She goes to leave but Fitz was in her way, so she looks at him and he steps out of the way. When she’s out of the frame, Fitz, keeping it together, asks “What Terran food awaits?” Kasius answers, “A bounty, though the harvest is something else.”
Kasius explains that earlier today, his men were “carrying out the process of Terrigenesis, hoping to produce new Inhumans for his guests. If any were so inclined.”
Fitz replies that it depends on how many units he has left after he purchases the Destroyer and Kasius says that its said Fitz (Boshtok) is a man of expensive tastes, they’ll soon see if he has the resources to support such desires. He then chuckles and walks away.
The scenes cuts to Mack, Elena, Tess, Coulson and also the director of the episode walking another corridor and into the Exchange. Tess is telling them about how every year Kasius puts the 18-year-olds through Terrigenesis. Coulson asks if that day is today and Tess tells him, “No, that was months ago.”
We see a few kids being consoled and comforted by their parents and Mack observes that most of these kids are barely teenagers. Tess indicates towards a larger Kree on the platform and says he’s the one in charge and has been working his way up from the lower floors. Coulson guesses this has something to do with Kasius’s big party. YoYo: “More products, more profit.”
Tess then indicates to Flint and Coulson asks concerned, “He doesn’t have anyone talking him through this?” Tess tells him that Flints parents were both killed in a Renewal and that Virgil took him in, was even teaching him how to fly, and gave him odds and ends to help him get by. Coulson tells her she should go say something, so she walks over to him, followed by the SHIELD 3.
Flint tells Tess that this is crazy because he wasn’t supposed to get misted for another 2 years. Tess responds by saying that this just means that he doesn’t have to wait. Flint wants to know if this will mess him up and she tells him that everything will be fine and that going through the mist is no big deal.
Elena and Mack are off to the side. Elena tells him that Terrigenesis is scary enough without hyenas watching. Mack says it’s not their fault because these people have all been fed the same lie. Elena retorts that people believe what they want to believe and that it’s obvious they are lambs being led to slaughter. Mack says, “Let’s just hope none of these kids crust over.”’
It cuts back to Flint who is saying that if he does turn, at least Tess won’t have him come to be for scraps. They both force, themselves to smile and Tess tells him that she likes having him come around.
At that moment, ‘The Vicar’ calls the children to the platform by announcing that it is time. The 5 children all hug their people one last time and go up there. Tess goes to stand next to Coulson who puts a comforting hand on her shoulder. The Vicar then announces, “We seek a great bounty. Hoping that one of the young gathered here today ascend to something greater.” He takes a crystal from a box held by another Kree and puts it in a tube-y thing in the center as he says, “Prepare to receive your gift from Kasius” and then pounds the top of the (thing?) The crystal then breaks under the platform and the mist comes up through vents in the floor.
Everyone watches in anticipation. Elena can’t take it anymore and leaves. Flint begins to crust over. Tess starts crying and calls out his name and Coulson once again puts his (right) hand on her shoulder. The other kids get off the platform and stand back. The Vicar is pleased.
The crust begins to break slowly but then bursts and there is no Flint. Tess exhales and Coulson looks at the sight curiously. The Kree are quick to investigate the floor.
At Grill’s Salvage we realize that YoYo had pulled Flint out of the cocoon at the last second and (carried I guess?) brought him there and sets him down.
Act 2 (and 2 and a half hours later thanks to the FitzSimmons stuff)
At the dinner in Kasius’s den, Pronarian and Kasius are laughing as the Servitor’s are setting the food down. Jemma serves Fitz and they both exchange looks. She walks away as Pronarian asks Kasius about the V’Rellnexian litter he sold him. Kasius answers they’ve been trying as they’re quite difficult to wrangle. Pronarian finds this a bit funny as he says they’re not bred to cuddle, they’re bred for war. Pronarian then tells Kasius that he had hoped that the ‘Vrells’ would provide him a small triumph because the last time he had saw him, the strain of his exile seemed to ‘wear heavy on your soul.’ Kasius points a finger at him. “I was never exiled.”
As Fitz listens intensely, Kasius then says that his father merely wanted him to oversee his Earth project personally. Pronarian adds, “While your brother oversees the family empire” and smiles widely as Kasius glares daggers.
Standing off in the back (in a chain-gang I’m pretty sure) Ben (the telepath) tells Daisy that Kasius has never offered him as a fighter until today and guess that’s what he gets for saving Daisy’s life. Daisy says she didn’t ask him to help her and Ben says she was hoping for it in her brain, which is basically the same thing for a mind reader. Daisy tells him that things are basically starting to work in their favor so just trust her on this. Ben is glad his inhibitor is on, so he can’t hear whatever dumb plan she has in her head. Daisy says they just need to work together and he tells her to stop thinking they have a choice because they’re slaves. Daisy sighs and says sorry for getting him mixed up in all this. Ben says. “Let’s just hope one of us doesn’t have to kill the other.”
Back at the table, Pronarian stands up and addresses everyone. He has brought fresh Xandarian snail, a rare delicacy, for everyone’s enjoyment in honor of Kasius presenting the Destroyer of worlds. Everyone seems happy (except Fitz) and Kasius tells Pronarian he is far too generous and Pronarian remarks that he hopes Kasius remembers that when bidding starts.
Everyone starts to eat and Lady Karaba inquires about how Kasius keeps his human population so well under heel, but Fitz is the one to answer. “He has them kill each other,” he says coolly as he eats soup.
The table goes quiet. Fitz takes notice of this and looks at everyone as he backtracks and says, “Well, that’s what I would do. Humans clearly have the numbers so fear is essential. The trick is, getting them to do it. Ritualization helps. Making it a sort of a game. It’s all very efficient, really. At least in my experience.” Fitz then goes quiet and goes back to eating his soup.
Kasius seems pleased. “Seems we have similar minds.” He then says tapping down the humans’ more rebellious has done wonders. Sinara comes and tells him something and walks away. Kasius then addresses the table and says he hopes the meal has been to everyone’s liking and as for their primal appetites, take one last look at the Inhumans because one of them will soon be withdrawn from the Marketplace. A guard leads the chain-gang out and Daisy glares at Fitz as she passes him.
Fitz turns his head to get one last look but Pronarian calls for the ‘Marauder’s’ attention and points out that he hasn’t tasted his snail. Fitz looks back at him and sees Jemma behind him. She has smuggled a knife. Pronarian says that perhaps unrefined men don’t have the stomach for such indulgences.
Fitz takes the plate and tells him he finds “moist creatures distasteful, much like the fat mouths slurping them down.” He then laughs, followed by Kasius and the others. Kasius really enjoyed that, saying that “Boshtok makes for a lively dinner companion.” He then gets up and says, “Let’s leave these snails to shrivel” as much greater pursuits await our attention.”
At the Exchange the two Kree are still investigating Flint’s disappearance. The shorter Kree wonders if the boy’s ability is to disappear and the Vicar says no, this is something else.
Tess is still distressed and asks Coulson and the director of the episode (nope, not going to stop that) if he’s dead and how does someone disappear like that. Coulson says he’s really not sure and looks back at Mack and sees that YoYo isn’t with him. He then says that he may have a theory.
At Salvage, Flint is on the stairs and says that they need to get back to the Exchange as he passes Elena and heads for the door. Elena tells him it’s not safe for him and he replies that the guards will be looking for him. Elena says, “Only to sell you.” He replies that he will get a better life and the rest of the level will profit. YoYo argues that he will get no better life and that people who buy other people are not good people and that they’ll only hurt him.
Flint says she doesn’t know that and the door closes behind him. Flint asks how she did that and Elena smiles. The door opens again, and they’re joined by Tess, Mack, Coulson and the director of the episode.
Tess hugs Flint asks him if he’s okay. He’s not because he was just kidnapped by a crazy woman and Mack agrees. “The kid ain't wrong about that.”
Tess tells him not to worry and introduces him to YoYo saying she’s with her and is also an Inhuman. Flint kind of figured that already and asks YoYo why she isn’t living down on the Kree levels. She replies that she isn’t from here and Coulson says none of them are and that YoYo isn’t the only Inhuman they have with them. Flint looks at Mack who is behind him, “You mean this guy.” Elena says no, he’s just cool. Mack smiles.
Coulson tells them they can’t hide there forever and that Kasius’s men will be looking for Flint as they speak. Mack adds that Grill is reporting to the station boss and will be back by the end of day. Elena says they will need to disappear long before that. Tess comes up with the idea for her putting in for a Trawler run and hiding Flint in the brig before they head out. It would buy them a couple of days.
Mack replies that without May they won’t have a pilot. Tess informs them that will be the least of their worries. Coulson asks if she wants any help and she says it’s best if she goes by herself. She tells Flint to stay right here. She’ll be back in a few.
At the Arena’s viewing area, Fitz and Enoch enter. Kasius goes up to him and shakes his hand as he invites Fitz to join him for the display. Fitz tells him he’s eager to see what Kasius has to offer. Kasius shall make every effort to not disappoint. Fitz sits down.
Kasius then introduces Ben to the spectators. To give them a sample of Ben’s power, the Kree guard throws a knife past Ben’s ear and Ben catches it. Kasius then tells them that for this select crowd he is not pitting Ben against another Inhuman, but a more unique opponent, “one not of this time.” Kasius then describes the opponent as a deadly assassin “trained by one of the galaxy’s most despised organizations. But most intriguing she is also a friend to The Destroyer of Worlds. Dear friends, may I present to you, Melinda May, agent of S.H.I.E.L.D?”
May is then brought into the arena in shackles. She is limping badly. She looks into the stands and sees Fitz. Fitz keeps his cool and May looks confused as lock eyes.
Act 3 (Hope you guys remember the fight scenes well)
The fight starts immediately with May on the offensive. They go at it for a less than a minute before Ben easily cuts May shoulder with his knife. May says he’s cheating and he says that she’s dying.
They fight some more, and it cuts back to the stands. Fitz is fishing for all the information Kasius knows by asking how many travelled in time with the Destroyer. Kasius answers that his servant and Melinda May are the only ones he’s discovered but Sinara is convinced there are more. Fitz compliments Ben as a skilled fighter and says it speaks well of his training. Kasius says he is talented for an Inhuman but wouldn’t last a day in his father’s army. (Fitz is watching the fight as he balls up his fist as if the fight is hard to watch, because duh.)
Fitz brings up that Kasius speaks highly of his father and Kasius says he is the greatest warrior Kasius knows. Fitz tells him Pronarian made it seem like Kasius was banished from his home world and Kasius says softly, “Pronarian knows nothing of what he speaks.”
Fitz tells him about Alistair and how he was disapproving, and that the things Fitz did to earn his respect left scars. During that conversation. Jemma and Fitz had exchanged looks. Kasius claims that his own situation was a tragic misunderstanding.
The camera pans back down to the arena. May looks up at the stands. Ben tells her that no one can help her now, not even a guest of Kasius before he attacks again. She blocks it and they continue to fight but not it’s not long before May is on her back on the ground after Ben kicked her. During this, both Fitz and Simmons are concerned about May, but work to hide it.
On the floor, May hears Ben tell her she is doubting herself in her head. She tells him to stay out of her head.
Fitz goes to try and prevent the death of Melinda May. His guess is that Kasius is selling the Destroyer as a way to redeem himself. Kasius replies that he believes a great fortune can smooth over any transgression. Fitz says he is prepared to help him with that.
In the Arena, May manages to stand up by supporting herself with her staff. She’s in bad shape. Scary bad shape.
Ben verbally tells her to not make him the bad guy. Then in her head he tells her that Kasius only threw him in the arena because he helped her friends. May says that means she won’t kill him. Ben gets closer and tells thanks for promising something she can’t. His mistake. She manages to hit him and he has to steady himself with one hand on the ground.
“Didn’t think. Just did.” She then goes to attack again and gets maybe two hits in before he punches her in the nose (almost exactly like she punched Deke in the nose).
More fighting. Ben ends up knocking her staff away and May struggles to keep her balance and find her footing. She does, and Ben goes to attack once more. May gets one more hit in before he cuts her stomach with his knife. She recovers enough to hold his knife (dagger, actually?) close to his neck while he resists.
She tells him they need to work together, and he asks what’s with these guys and teamwork? This fight needs to end now. He manages to get the knife close to her neck as he adds, “Or else they’ll feed us both to the roaches on the surface.”
May throws her weight and breaks free and pushes her away but she ends up back on her back one move later. Ben goes in for the kill and says, “No way. Kasius isn’t going to change the rules now.”
May answers that you just have to know who to ask and looks up at Fitz. Fitz gets the picture.
He stands up and loudly proclaims that this fight bores him. Kasius also stands up and assures him that the fight will end in a most thrilling fashion. He then calls for Sinara to add more weapons, but Fitz says lack of weapons is not the problem. The problem is he came to see the Destroyer fight, “not some ancient has-been.”
May looks up like, dafuq you just say?
Kasius responds that he’s afraid a life is owed. Fitz tells him to send the Agent of SHIELD to the surface because she’s better as Roach food and Kasius tells the guards to escort the human woman to the surface life.
As the guard comes, May tells Ben “Thank you” and he says unfortunately her friend just delayed the inevitable. No one can escape the roaches.
In the next scene, Tess is walking to the Trawler. The panel activates and opens the door as the Vicar appears and asks if she has seen the boy. Tess plays it off and says “Flint? He’s a total floor rat. He could be anywhere.”
The Vicar comes closer and adds, “Or you could be hiding him.”
Tess crosses her arms and asks why she would do that? He tells her he saw her offering the boy last words at the Ceremony. Tess tries to act as though she was keeping her business relationship on the steady by giving him a pep talk because Flint gets her things no one else can.
The Vicar warns her that if he finds out she is keeping things from him, there will be consequences. She says “Understood” and asks if they’re done here. She then walks away to the Trawler.
At Salvage, Flint is pacing the floor. He wonders why he doesn’t have his powers yet. Elena tells him he does, it just hasn’t revealed itself. Flint asks how long hers took. She tells him she was a disaster and that she had crusted three weeks earlier after eating fish soup and tacos. Flint asks what tacos are. Neither Mack nor Coulson and also the director of the episode want to live in a world without tacos. Elena tells him tacos are a food.
She then continues her story by saying she thought it was a bad dream but then her cousin called with bad news about his mom. Elena was upset and went to get a beer and whoosh she’s back on her couch with a beer in her hand. She does it again with a bottle opener in her other hand. Flint asks what she thought was happening and she says her heart was beating so fast she thought someone put cocaine in her beer. Mack tells Escobar to dial it back. Elena finishes by saying she had to call her cousin over and he spent hours talking her out of an exorcism. And very soon after the adults are magnetized to the metal they’re by: Mack and Coulson to the bulldozer and Elena to the large metal cart.
Back with Kasius, Ben is on the auction block People makes their bids and Pronarian ends up telling Lady Karaba that this is an auction not a flee market. Sinara enters and Kasius apologizes to them both. He can’t sell Ben in good faith because Ben lied to him, specifically. Kasius calls him out on lying about Daisy telling the truth about Jemma being the only one with her.
Fitz asks if this is necessary and says to let the buyers discipline him. Kasius says he is a man of honor and cannot let the tongues of his slaves lie so boldly. Daisy is held back by a guard as she yells that it was her fault. Kasius tells her that’s true but he’s not as valuable as her.
Sinara gets in an orb kill after Ben tells Daisy telepathically to not blame herself. Kasius says he hopes this display was more to Fitz’s liking.
Act 4
Coulson and the director of the episode tells Grill that Grill is home early as the agents are still magnetized to the metal. Grill informs them that he thought he was getting called up to his station manager for another damn report, but the station manager just wanted to let him know a Trawler pilot was fighting in the Crater. Coulson knows immediately that he’s referring to May and him and Elena exchange looks. Elena asks if she’s alright and Grill says that he wouldn’t use the term ‘alright’ for someone chucked out as Roach food but rather ‘morsel’. He then goes to Coulson and touches him with his cane. Coulson has to lean back from the pressure. Grill says it’s time for him to explain why the 3 didn’t have any metrics. Coulson says deadpanned, “We came from the past to save the world.”
Grill hears this and immediately asks as if he’s a True Believer. He then busts out laughing and says he may be a rube but he’s not a dumb rube that believes in that prophecy nonsense. He adds he will be a rich rube when he turns these 4 into Kasius.
Mack says if he does that they’ll all be killed. Grills says Kasius can do whatever he wants after the creepy son of a bitch pays him off. He then tells them all that being dead may be their best option. The camera pans down to his feet and we see rocks and stuff floating in the air.
In the room with the towels, Daisy is wrapping her hands. Jemma joins her. Jemma is sorry about Ben. Daisy tells her that Ben saved both their lives. Jemma tells her there was nothing she could do while Daisy just stood there and watched Kasius murder him. Jemma sits on the floor next to Daisy as Daisy announces she is gonna kill Kasius. Jemma tells her to get in line.
Daisy wants to know how Jemma can hear. Jemma explains that Fitz tricked Kasius into turning her ears back on. Daisy wonders how Fitz is even there and Jemma says she doesn’t know, he just showed up with his own space ship. Daisy remarks about Fitz’s bounty hunter look and Jemma says she still prefers cardigans. They share one quiet moment and then get up. Daisy wants to know what Fitz’s plan is and Jemma says she thinks he’s there to purchase them. Daisy asks what if that doesn’t work. Daisy looks at it and says they need another plan (Jemma had no other choice of cutlery), they need to find a way to work together. Kasius will have to turn her blocker off, they can make their move then. Daisy says, “Us against the world” as they hug.
Jemma leaves and sees Fitz in the hallway. They don’t get a moment to talk however as Jemma is called away. Enoch startles Fitz and tells them they have a problem. Kasius’s brother has come to acquire Daisy from Kasius.
Back at Salvage, they’re still magnetized. Flint asks Grill why Kasius has people fighting downstairs. Grills answers, “All part of the fun and games.” He then looks back Flint, “Let’s just hope he doesn’t choose you.”
Flint makes a break for it. Grill kicks a cart in his path and throws his cane at him. Mack yells that he’s just a kid. All three get zapped, hard. As they’re grunting through the pain, Grill tells them that he’s starting to think that Zev didn’t deserve to die. He lets off the button and adds that he thinks that because Elena set Zev up. He then growls that nothing says he has to turn them in cherry so maybe he will just watch them sizzle and zaps them again. They scream in pain and suddenly rocks start to fly through the air. This distracts Grill and he stops. Coulson and also the director of the episode are hit by a rock. Grill commands Flint to knock it off and Flint says he doesn’t know how. Grill says to figure it out.
Elena tells Flint to look at her. She tells him this is his gift. Grill ruins the moment by zapping them. More rocks fly through the air and one hits Grill in the head. Grill pulls his gun and points it at Flint. He tells him to stop it or he will “stop you”.
Flint moves his hand and huge rocks gather in the air to make a mega-rock which comes down on Grill and kill him. The three look at the sight of Grill’s dead body in shock and Elena puts her hand on Flints shoulder to comfort him but the three are still magnetized to the metal.
Act 5
Fitz goes to Kasius and wants to know what’s this heard about his brother coming for Daisy. Kasius takes him aside and says this is good because the journey from Hala is long which means his father is serious if he sent Faulnok. Fitz tells him he is serious and has also made a longer journey. Kasius says it’s been a pleasure having him. Fitz doesn’t accept that and tells him Kasius promised he could make an offer for Daisy. Kasius replies the he looks forward to entertaining it, but he suggests Fitz consider a different Inhuman. Kasius walks away and Enoch walks over saying it didn’t appear like it went well. Enoch then hands Fitz a yellow package and says, “Let’s hope the rest does.” Fitz tells him there is one last thing he needs him to do.
Back at Salvage, a Kree enters looking for Flint. He goes into Grill’s office and peers in and scans the room. He does not see Elena, Flint, Mack, Coulson and the director of the episode behind the door because apparently, they managed to get themselves demagnetized from the metal after we last saw them? Anyway, Coulson has Grill’s weapon drawn.
Back at the Arena stands, Fitz enters and takes a seat next to Pronarian. Kasius goes to Sinara and tells her, “Our fate is soon at hand, Sinara.” Just then Faulnok enters. The brothers meet and shake hands. Kasius says it’s an honor and Faulnok tells him there is no honor to be had in this human cesspool. Kasius tells him there must be some if he’s standing here. Faulnok tells him he’s only here because of their father’s orders. Kasius is pleased because that means that his father is at least interested enough to send his most trusted messenger.
They go to take their seats and Faulnok claims the Destroyer had better be what Kasius says or he’ll gladly remind him of the many shapes his anger takes. Kasius says Yes, Faulnok was always quick to offer a demonstration, maybe now he can present one of his own. He then says the Destroyer is set to battle one of his most prized Inhumans but Faulnok says he doesn’t want to see Kasius’s homegrown experiments fight, he wants her to face a Kree warrior. He then suggests Sinara.
Kasius tries to change his mind by saying she’s not prepared, but Faulnok doubles down saying perhaps he misjudged and Kasius no longer seeks their father’s approval. Kasius then agrees and calls Jemma over as Faulnok walks away from him.
Kasius then goes to Sinara and tells him the news and calls it an opportunity. He apologizes that this is sudden. Sinara says, “To the death” and Kasius apologizes again. He can’t change the rules, it is what has been promised. He has every confidence that she will provide a great spectacle.
At Salvage, Flint is dealing with the fact that he murdered Grill. He can’t be here anymore. He heads to the door but is blocked by Mack who tells him it’s too dangerous out there. Flint points out it’s better than staring at the guy he just killed and that he knew Grill and that he was one his best customers who even gave him spare tokens from time to time. Elena tells him what happened to Grill wasn’t his fault. Coulson and the director of the episode tells him that he had no choice because he was going to kill them. He then says that he and Mack are going to o find Tess and get him on the Trawler. Elena tells them to go and they leave.
In the corridor, Coulson says the kid should be playing ball or running for student council. Mack says, or class treasurer and Coulson points out that’s pretty specific. Mack says he serves three terms and he’s a pretty financially responsible dude. They then round a corner and find Tess in the Exchange and I’m not describing this next part so I’m leaving a picture. Sorry. #TessLives
Coulson gets that “I might do something stupid,” look in his eye and says they killed her because she wouldn’t give up Flint. Mack grabs his shoulder and tells him she’s already dead. The only thing they can do is try to keep Flint from meeting the same end. Mack continues to hold his shoulder and says come on while they walk in the other direction.
The scene cuts to Daisy waiting to be led into the Arena. Kasius calls her one of the deadliest forces and calls her Quake, Destroyer of Worlds. Her opponent is Sinara and she looks up in the stands. His brother is not impressed. He asks, “This puny girl is your Destroyer?” Kasius says his rush to judgement has always been a shortcoming. He then activates a force field before he deactivates her Inhibitor to unleash her.
That screws up the plan for the time travelers three. Kasius asks if Faulnok wants to give the opening commencement but Sinara cheats and attacks right away, Daisy avoids her balls. Sinara calls them back to her and Daisy quakes her against the wall, making her drop them. Daisy then runs toward her. They fight hand to hand and Daisy ends up knocking Sinara down.
Fitz and Kasius both show obvious concern for their respective fighter but try to not make it obvious. On the ground, Sinara summons her balls and one hits Daisy in the shoulder/chest. This knocks her down.
Fitz looks at Jemma and readjusts the ‘package’ that he is packing under his jacket. Sinara gets up and goes to take the high ground. Another ball comes for Daisy and she totally pulls a Yoda and pushes it away with Force after keeping it stagnant in the air for a short time. Daisy tries to launch it back at Sinara saying, “This is for Ben” but she misses and Sinara jumps down.
More fighting and we see the moves that Clark’s BJJ coaches came in and helped them perform. Sinara does a similar move that Cal did to Coulson in their fight and drops Daisy on her back while her legs are wrapped around Sinara’s neck.
More fighting and Sinara makes a last-ditch effort to attack, running straight at her. Daisy quakes her back. Sinara is down for the count.
Daisy looks up and Fitz and Simmons make their moves. Fitz knocks Pronarian out with the grip of his gun (which I now realize sounds like an ICER) Simmons takes her knife and slits Kasius’s throat (but it’s not that bloody). Fitz deactivates the force field and holds his gun up. Daisy goes to fly up to the stands and quake everyone but Faulnok picks up the remote and inhibits her powers. She falls out of the air and hits the ground hard. Jemma jumps into the arena, followed by Fitz who jumps and shoots the forcefield switch mid-air. Fitz says he’s never leaving her again and they kiss. Sinara had woke up but Fitz ices her. Simmons says to marry her then and he says absolutely.
They then go to Daisy. As they help her walk out, Fitz tells Jemma that he did propose to her earlier when Kasius had her hearing turned off. Jemma says of course he did. If Daisy registered any of that she doesn’t show it. Fitz ices the Kree guard on his way out.
Tag Scene
Enoch, in disguise as a Kree, goes to the lift to the Earth’s surface. He says, “Hello friend” to the Kree guard. The guard questions him by asking who he is. Enoch activates the lift door and says he is a Kree, as he has always been, brother. The guard asks if he knows where he’s going because people don’t come back for there. Enoch ices him, then gets in the lift and says he is not a person.
