Well, that was a really lame attempt at a trick. Stevie Wonder could have seen that coming! Well, she clearly was surprised and so was Jemma. And she was surprised how hot he was Nah, Daisy knew he was there in the end of the previous ep. It was a cheap shot from the promo people.

Yes, she knew her was there but that doesn't mean she isn't surprised. It was said that unexpected friend would save her. Well, technically they were right. The moment she needed to be saved he was not there yet, so unexpected. It's funny: of course they were wrong, but knowing how these synopsis go, I never doubted that it would be anybody else then Fitz.

Important to remember that the synopsis was released before the previous ep (ep 5) aired. They probably didn't want to give too much away that far in advance. Just my $.02.

LOL, I'm so spoiler free that I tuned in last week for an episode... Is it my imagination, or did they just kill off most of the main characters on the Lighthouse? (How's that for a major spoiler.) Gregg directs, everyone who I wanted to die, dies. Well, even a few that I didn't want to die, died. Nice Marvel logo over the toolbox. Good that Enoch is still with Fitz to provide a mess of exhibition. Feels like he's more than a watcher, and the team is his pawns... So in the future, SHIELD is one of the most despised organizations in the galaxy? Now that's some cred. Gee, I really liked Grill's head replacement. Couldn't have happened to a nicer guy. I also really like Badass Fitz. Of course, Jemma slitting Casius's throat shows just how far she's come too. Good lines: Coulson: And she's not the only inhuman with us. Flint: You mean this guy. (Points to Mack.) Yo-Yo: No, he's just cool. (Smug look on Mack's face. Priceless.) Flint: What are tacos? Mack: What the hell kind of future is this? (Classic Mack.) Jemma: Here we are again. Daisy: Us against the world. (Seems to be a common theme every season...) Daisy: All right, you freaky blue bitch. Let's do this! (HAhahaha...) Kree guard: Do you know where you're going? People don't come back from... (Gets shot.) Enoch: I, am not a person. (Excellent way to end the ep.) So, will Fitz and Simmons really get married, or are they going to get cursed again? Who's on the surface? Fitz must know. He sent Enoch on a mission there. I just hope Enoch is still a good guy. Still unanswered: Deke and the Framework. There has to be a reason Deke is still alive (I mean, they killed everyone else off), and a reason for the Framework to still exist. And we're back to the "Inhumans for a reason" theory. Does Flint put Earth back together? He's pretty good with putting rocks together. Good to see the team together again. Looks like this arc is coming to a close. Time for the team to get back to Earth and present time to make SHIELD the most despised organization in the galaxy... Yeah, it was quite the killing spree. Not surprised Ben bit it, they kind of forecasted that one. I figured Tess would eventually die, but damn....... were they in a hurry? When the Kree dude questioned her and then let her go I figured she'd live to die another day; but, BAM! Surprise..... she's toast. Grill was not only expected but I was pleased to see him go. They did it in great fashion: Killed by the Flintstones. I like how they developed the characters over time so we'd have an emotional connection to them when they died. That said, it started to seem like the show was slowing down; then, Fitz shows up and it's like the turbos kicked in. Perfect time for a few twists and turns to mix things up a bit. I think they're doing pretty good with the pacing so far. S4 spoiled me (us?) by the accelerated pace to get through three pods, and I've been worried they'd lose that momentum. I'm a happy camper, thus far. One more comment on Lighthouse characters: I kinda wish Virgil would have lasted more than a few minutes. He was kinda goofy; and, goofy does well on this show.... Didn't notice the logo framed in the toolbox on first watch. Nice catch. It was a neat start to the ep. Personally, I don't get the vibe that the team are Enoch's pawns. I get more of a watcher vibe. A bit of a goofy watcher, but still a watcher (kinda like Stan Lee's cameos). He's been a lot of fun the last two eps. I hope it stays that way. I'd hate if he ends up nefarious. So in the future, SHIELD is one of the most despised organizations in the galaxy? Now that's some cred. Ha! Of course it's scoundrels calling them despised. I guess that means SHIELD has been doing a good job. I also really like Badass Fitz. Of course, Jemma slitting Casius's throat shows just how far she's come too. Totally agree. I loved all the casual nonchalance during the Daisy rescue. The casual convo between them, the kiss and of course the nonchalant shooting of Sinara and the Kree guard as they left........ I really enjoyed that. Kinda had a Hunter vibe. I'll add the following to "Good Lines" "Marry me, Fitz" - expected, but the way Elizabeth delivered it was perfection. "Absolutely" - the perfect response to that line Elizabeth's comment about available cutlery was funny as well. (paraphrasing?) "I didn't come here to see an ancient hasbeen" followed by May's look when he said that...... Fitz is gonna get a spanking. Still unanswered: Deke and the Framework. There has to be a reason Deke is still alive (I mean, they killed everyone else off), and a reason for the Framework to still exist.
I don't really care about the Framework. The answers and their ticket home seem to be on the surface. The Framework served as a tool to provide an educational reference to further explain their belief that Quake is the Destroyer of Worlds. It also served as a means to explain Deke's seemingly shady dealings. I'm good with that being all we see of the Framework (unless it holds the key to their ride home ) And we're back to the "Inhumans for a reason" theory. Does Flint put Earth back together? He's pretty good with putting rocks together.
I really hope they don't do the Inhumans for a reason, crap.......... I've already seen theories about Flint putting the Earth back together (I think it was in the IGN review comment section). To me, that's as far fetched as Daisy doing the destruction all on her own. She's really OP in the comics, and Sif did make a comment about the possibilities of her wrecking continents, but............... I just don't think they'd go that route. Good to see the team together again. Looks like this arc is coming to a close. Time for the team to get back to Earth and present time to make SHIELD the most despised organization in the galaxy...
Not 100% on this, but I'm pretty sure this season is only two major arc (pods?), so we'll probably stay in the future until somewhere between eps 10-12. But you're right. It's great having them (almost) back together again...... I was wondering what would eventually take them to the surface and how'd they'd get there (and survive). Rescuing May is a good reason to go to the surface and (not a person) Enoch will be there to assist. Should be fun.....

Rescuing May is a good reason to go to the surface and (not a person) Enoch will be there to assist. Should be fun..... 1. Don't forget Mack used to use 'Turbo' as Fitz' nickname. 2. Maybe a bit like Joe Dawson on Highlander, supposed to strictly observe and nothing else, except when he decides to tell DM that a particular bad guy needs to be stopped. 3. Well, those were icers (surprising they worked on the Kree). And his plan would have gone a lot better if he'd casually shot Kasius' brother in the first round. 4. Maybe they'll do some sort of thing where they get a bunch of inhumans together and their combined powers are used to repair the Earth. As far as the destruction, perhaps Hunter will become drinking buddies with Black Bolt and get him into futbol, but Bolt backs a different team than Hunter. Then after one too many beers, Bolt's team beats Hunter's team with a last second goal and Bolt destroys the planet with the cheer he lets out. 5. Speaking of Enoch's assistance, has he made his way to the weapons cache or did he take a few icer guns along when they froze Fitz in the first place. He handed one to Fitz and at least has a second one. If they were on the ship the whole time then the reason he carried them to the lighthouse and gave one to Fitz there is they did some sort of weapons scan coming on board but Enoch's "skin" (remember the start of 5.01 when he showers we see it's just apparel for him) is able to shield the weapons from that scan. If he has gotten to the cache since getting on board, he really should have given Coulson a hand.

It was simply to avoid a major spoiler from two episodes back. Not only due to the synopsis release date but even for people that catch up on episodes after the holidays etc.

And I personally really don't want to see anyone "put the Earth back together". That will really stretch the limits of plausibility. I can maybe buy into Quake actually causing the destruction in the first place but even that would need a good explanation IMO, but to re-assemble a planet? No, please, no. Just go with some sort of rescue of our team and maybe freeing the remaining humans/inhumans from their current state, but I just can't see any plausible "everything's back to normal" here. And of course if they want to make a quick stop on their way back to the present and stop the destruction itself that's fine too. But having Flint reassemble the Earth would be nuke the fridge worthy IMO.

I thought I'd chime in with my thoughts on the episode, too. You all have covered the episode well, so I don't think there's much I can really add! I was rather surprised that they killed off as many of the Lighthouse characters as they did in one episode. I was sad to see Tess go, though I figured she wasn't going to last much longer. I just couldn't bring myself to be too upset about Ben. Enoch is turning out to be a great character, and I hope we get to keep him around a while. It appears he's off to help May. YoYo was awesome this episode too, and I didn't find Mack annoying... which is saying something. Yes, the whole proposal thing was over the top, but I still found it fun to watch! This season seems very similar to the last in terms of pacing. Now if it were only Friday again!

Greetings, fans of the most despicable show of the galaxy,
I am Boshtok, the space Marauder, and this is my review of the latest episode. The episode was centered around me, the hero, after having travelled a great long distance to get to this human cesspool to acquire myself Quake, the Destroyer of Worlds. What a tale to be told. And what a director's choice. The Son of Coul, friend of the mighty Thor, has directed it. It ought to be good and so it was.
Pros
Kasius was a better table companion than I initially had thought. We had a very similar vision on life. I even felt a little bit of friendship growing between us. But the acquiring the Destroyer of Worlds was, of course, more important than that.
Kasius also has a slave which he offered for free as the companion of the Destroyer of Worlds. She is beautiful. A light in this disgusting place. Kasius has good taste in his servants. But she is also weakness.
The fight between the Destroyer of Worlds and Kasius' stray was a good spectacle to watch. Faulnak was right to put her against a Kree warrior in the fight to the death. Instead against one Kasius homemade experiments. The telepath might be good enough to do a bid for, but the rest was not worth any attention. The good stuff is still the ancient stuff. And it was good see that I got what I came for.
Cons
Kasius brother, Faulnak, enough said.
Gaius Ponarian and his disgusting taste in food, enough said.
Grill's death. I could have used him as my slave. For a human he showed remarkable talent to do what it takes, even though still much to learn.
The others who died were all weak.
I wasn't able to buy the Destroyer of World, thanks to his brother, but my backup plan succeeded. I worked my way through the heart of Kasius Slave and with her help I simply stole the Destroyer of World in front of Kassius' and his brother's stupid blue noses. The slave even slid her master's throat. It was the highlight of this episode. She now wants to marry me, can you believe it?
Enoch was a great help. He even helped me saving this female human from the roaches. She is a friend of the slave and of the Destroyer of Worlds, so saving her helps me gain the Destroyer of the World's trust. I'll need it because now Kasius' father's army is after my head. Enoch makes me laugh too. He's a good companion.
The speedster Yo yo will make a good addition at the side of The Destroyer of Worlds. Maybe Kasius's recent harvest brought up another interesting Inhuman. The kid, Flint, looks very promising. Together they will form my army. They will be known througout the galaxy as the Feared Warriors.
And soon the Agents of Shield will have travelled through time to be my slaves. And Jemma Simmons will be my wife. Don't worry fans, the wedding will be the centre piece of this show's 100th episode.

Killed by the Flintstones. Boo. Hiss. I hope you know that if I didn't use puns so often, I'd really hate 'em. Yeah, I was quite surprised they'd kill all the Lighthouse regulars off (except for Deke). Doesn't give the viewer much to care about on the rock. As for Virgil, he had to go. He knew all the answers, and would have made the first three episodes of the season unnecessary. Maybe it's just the "Prophecy" thing. It does make the Team a pawn if the future is preordained. It seems to me one of the most prudent things Fitz should have done was ask Robin what he was going to do and the outcome of his actions. It also implies SHIELD will still exist to become despised. The organization right now is in shambles. Mace is dead, Talbot is in a coma, and their base has been destroyed. Convenient they have the Zephyr back, isn't it? Hey, maybe there will be a season 6! That was one of the best things I liked about Hunter. Having a conversation or an argument with someone as he casually shoots people. I hope we see more of him. Are you sure her look at Fitz wasn't one of, "You couldn't come up with this before I got beat up because of my lame leg?" I find it hard to believe they would resurrect the framework in S5 only to have it serve no purpose. I think Deke is still alive because he knows the Framework. I've mentioned before (I think) that it's more than coincidence that Deke would find the Framework servers on the Lighthouse. Someone would have had to put them there, unless the Lighthouse was built by Radcliff or Aida. (Which would be a fascinating plot device.) Who would have put them there? Enoch? Hunter? You might be right and he's just a misdirection, but that came to mind as soon as he created a sphere with the rocks to deep six Grill. Actually, I think this arc will end up in present day Earth. Don't you think they need to stop the world from quaking apart in the first place and killing billions of people? They need something from this time frame to do it. There's still a lot of stuff to clean up in present day. (I will laugh if the Earth is destroyed in Infinity War (the movie), and the scenes we've been seeing are easter eggs to the movie...)

Well, not to be critical, but for all the things that go on in the Marvel Universe, you still want to talk about plausibility? Much of the physics of what's being represented right now is implausible. But beyond that, there are a number of reasons you want to put the planet back together, including recapturing some sort of atmosphere to live on the surface of a planet. Of course, since I suspect the Team comes back from the future (hey, that's make a great movie title) to prevent the catastrophe in the first place, the point may be moot. But it would help in the alternate reality where Earth does get destroyed.

Post by DoTheMath on Jan 9, 2018 2:28:58 GMT
Good Point. Then, of course, the question would be: why? Why is the Framework so important and who knew it would be so important to put the servers in Lighthouse stasis? Or did Deke find them, and/or their remnants, floating around in space and he nabbed them with the trawler? Damn you. Now I'm wanting answers on the Framework. I think there's only two arcs. First is them in the future, second will be back in present(ish) to prevent said future. They need to group up, rescue May and devise an escape plan; but, before they leave they need to find out everything they can about the catastrophe so they can go back and prevent it. They'll probably learn all that ........ sh!t................. this may be a spoiler and you're a spoiler free member. Suffice it to say, that there's still plenty left to do before they return to to the present. I figure 10 or 11 they'll leave for/arrive home. I kinda agree with Fitz.. er.... I mean, koos , that there may be a wedding (or at least a planned wedding) in 12 (ep 100), so maybe get on the road home in 10 and arrive and regroup in 11? with 12 being the S5 twists and turns leading to the 2nd and more import arc where they gotta find out catastrophe culprit and then prevent it..... all the while dodging Gen Hale and her lot. As for a IW tie-in..... meh...... it'll be a nod at best like the last few. I'd prefer they get a visit from, or a message from Wakanda. The most technically advanced nation on Earth may just have the answers they need........ IW tie-in could be IW fallout in S6 of AoS.
