After the last episode, I'm definitely starting to feel the absence of Talbot.
The way the writers got him out of the team's hair last season feels more out of place now than it did originally.
I rewatched the Agents of HYDRA arc a few nights ago and had a thought: what if the writers shot him, but not *killed* him, because they needed him out of the way so they could feasibly have Gen. Hale take his place in order to be a (real) foil for the team?
Obviously, if Talbot were around he'd be a mustachioed brick wall in Hale's way.
Who knows, maybe Hale is responsible somehow for sending a Daisy-Bot to shoot Talbot in the first place?
Also, I started to think about TAHITI.
Every season has found a way to incorporate TAHITI in some fashion: last season it was Teacher Coulson's programming resurfacing in the FW, in season 3 it was what tipped Coulson off to Malick being HYDRA and the first two seasons are obvious.
I've been waiting for the Kree to find out Coulson and Daisy have Kree DNA infused blood this season but it doesn't look like that will happen, so I'm predicting that Talbot will get a nice GH. 325 transfusion and become right as rain and that will be our TAHITI plot point of the season.
It would be no surprise if we found out the military has been messing with TAHITI science without Coulson's knowledge in the same way they messed with Cal's formula and Super Soldier Serum to give Mace superpowers. I mean, do we know for sure that there were never anymore Kree bodies left on Earth that Coulson and SHIELD didn't know about?
Or do we know for sure that they couldn't somehow create Kree DNA from, let's say,a sample of Coulson's blood taken during a routine physical?
The only reason I'm thinking all this is that there was a reason for them taking Talbot out of the picture but not killing him. It would have been more impactful during the finale if they killed him outright so it doesn't make sense that they wouldn't without a reason.
I can see them bringing him back healthy to help deal with Gen. Hale and the best way to do that is through TAHITI.

Didn't Talbot have a son? What if that son is Deacon's dad... And therefore the voice Virgil was chatting with? Maybe you're right about Talbot getting the serum, which could have led to him giving it to his son if he'd been injured. Have those giant bugs eaten any Kree? I can't recall. If not, maybe they don't like Kree blood and that's how Deacon's dad survived (if he is Talbot's son). I don't know. I'm probably way off lol. I do like your idea of Glenn getting the serum though... And the idea of Hale being the reason for Talbot being shot.

And I assume that the roaches do munch on Kree because if you remember in episode 2, Deke, Daisy, Mack, and Elena covered up Mack and Daisy's Kree murders by hiding their bodies with the other roach victims.

We haven't actually seen it, but after seeing the two dead Kree killed by Mack and Yo-yo, Deke said to move them where the roaches would get the bodies in order to cover it up - if the bodies were still warm enough.

I agree that the writers had Talbot shot so that he would not be able to block Hale. It is possible that the writers had him survive because he will eventually return and help save the day, but it is also possible that the writers had him survive just to keep their options open.
I like your theory that Hale was behind the attempted assassination. It would suggest that Hale is in league with Ivanov. If so, she would have a motivation to frame Daisy for destroying the earth, and access to more LMD Daisies would help her do so. Also, this would explain why Hale killed Evans when Hale could have easily had Evans transferred. Evans was loyal to Talbot and would be an ally to Talbot if and when he returned.
The Kree have been taking Daisy's blood, so I think that there is a good chance that they will find Kree blood. The only reasons that I can think of why they would not would be either (1) something in the next episode blocks or sabotages the analysis of her blood, or (2) the writers forgot that she had Kree blood.
This does not preclude the possibility that there might also be an attempt to use a version of GH-325 to save Talbot. I hope that whoever does so has a better way to get rid of the crazy writing that follows.
If Radcliffe was able to get Kree DNA from Daisy's blood, then it should be possible to do so from Coulson's blood, assuming that they could get a sample. I doubt that any sample still exists, but someone may have intercepted a sample from a previous physical.
Deke looks about 30 years old, which means that he would be born in 2061, give or take a couple of years. Talbot's son would be well in his 50s by then. He would be old to be Deke's father, but it would still be possible.

I actually wonder if the crazy writing would still be a side effect, now that it is known it's a blue print of the Kree Temple under Puerto Rico. Maybe so if the person with the GH .325 *doesn't* already know that, and it's not common knowledge outside Coulson's team.

I can't remember if they ever showed what those abilities were.

They don't make it clear and in fairness I often have questions like that and will then specifically watch an episode looking for clues to the answer. In 'The Inside Man' (the episode in question) they never reference Talbot's son as an Inhuman or even hint at it, but at the same time, they put him in the same kind of Containment box as Inhumans.

Yeah, I am pretty sure caseyrook AKA Mechelle is right on this one. But wow, that is a great idea! Can you imagine Talbot' s reaction, finding out that either he or his wife was an inhuman-in-waiting? That could have been epic 😅

Assuming the team arrives back on Earth at basically the same time as Fitz got put in the cryo-chamber, that would be about 6 months after they were abducted in the diner. (That's how long he was locked up.). This would put the show back on track with real time as well. Seems like that's enough time for Talbot to come out of his coma, if he is going to. I'm willing to bet we will see him again before the season is out. 100th episode surprise, maybe? I hope, I hope

I could see the team re-emerging back into the diner moments after they left, just after Hale hauled a very confused Fitz away. They had to lay low, (6 months or so- story arc for 5B?) and finally manage to do some espionage; catching up with Enoch just after he puts Fitz in the cryochamber. They wake up Fitz immediately, and TA-DA! None of it ever happened EDIT: It would make a great opportunity for this scene: Fitz saying to Hunter, in front of everybody, "You told me you loved me." Anybody want to speculate on what Hunter's response would be?
