So, I was already planning on making a thread for this episode while it was still running, but first things first:
Holy mother of surprise guest stars, it's
But, coming back to my other point concerning the Legends: I have to say that I think Wentworth Miller is awesome, and Leonard Snart was pretty much my favourite character throughout the first season, BUT, seriously, "Leo" Snart is giving me uncanny valley vibes of the worst kind and I cannot wait for him to get off the show again!! Sure, it was fun to see Snart show up on Earth X, just like it was cool to have him guest star before as Mick's hallucination or as his slightly younger, still evil self, but this is taking things too far imo. Really hoping here they won't have him sticking around much longer.
Pretty cool episode otherwise, though. The "coincidences" concerning anachronisms surrounding the legends keep happening, and in this case it was a good way to give the subject of the professor's death some closure. Since time travel is the show's main feature, it would be silly to not even have the thought of preventing his death this way come up. Gotta say, though, Stein clearly didn't pay much attention during Back to the Future! Doc ripped up the letter, but then taped it back together and lived and everyone was happy. Seriously, stop giving me this nonsense about "I'm 67, I'm old, I've lived my life." Total BS if you ask me!
Now Jax is gone, too. That sucks even more. Btw, does anyone know what the issues here were? I assume that Victor Garber wanted to leave (was sooo weird to see him on The Orville just days after his tearful death on LoT ), but Franz Drameh? No clue.
Can't wait to hopefully see Rip again soon. As much as the show improved as a whole from season one to season two, I really don't think that losing him as a regular was a good call. Also, it really didn't sit well with me that Sarah sold him out to the time bureau a couple episodes ago. Sure, his plan backfired, but it wasn't as if he betrayed her team. He made them sit tight on the Waverider, so he did the opposite of putting them in harm's way. He couldn't have known that Zari wasn't with the others, and when he found her at that barn, he did everything to keep her safe. That all those time agents were killed was rough, but first, that's a risk you take on that job, and second, none of Sarah's business. She was seriously out of line with how she reacted and I hope there's gonna be some grovelling, now that she realised he was right. Same goes for Agent Sharpe.
Btw, I noticed that John Noble was credited and finally realised he is the voice of Mallus. How cool is that?!

John Constantine
, y'all!!!!! Wohoo!! Damn, honestly, it's so nice not to follow stuff on social media or see guest lists and plot summaries up front, but to just be surprised when things actually happen on screen. Did not see this coming and I'm already psyched for the next episode, even though we'll have to wait till the next year to get it.
