I think Enoch (swimming pool man who took the team) f*cked up and sent them to the wrong point in time so he'll show up at the Lighthouse and take them back to Earth (sometime before Earth is destroyed).

I think they will use the trawler to reel in the floating school bus. Inside that bus will be a strange blue box of a type that was used by police in England in the late 19th century for official communications. That box will be the key to getting back.  |

I'll be spending next weekend with some family I like and trying to avoid any remotely controversial conversations with others that I spend the rest of the year avoiding
