Impressive writing, but they weren’t lying when they said it was brutal! Also, Jon Bernthal is all kinds of amazing.

I've only got a few episodes left and I'm finding this MUCH more upsetting than DareDevil. It's well written, but I don't think I'll be rewatching it again any time soon.
** And... DONE. They seriously weren't lying when they said this was the most brutal series they've done so far. (And I thought DareDevil was plenty brutal.) Well acted and a good story, but definitely well beyond my gore comfort levels.

I enjoyed it a lot and probably will rewatch as some friends/family haven't finished it yet, but yes: very brutal. I didn't find it excessive for the story they were telling though. i.e. it didn't seem to be added just for the sake of it, but still very gory and brutal. Didn't love episode 13 and probably would have rather they mixed some elements of that episode into one finale, but overall still enjoyed it a lot. I will admit I watched some scenes through my fingers though. |

I also watched quite a bit through my fingers! |
