These words have been stuck in my head since I first read them. You can read them in different tones of voices and get a different attitude about Inhumans each time.
There are three scenarios here: a) Teacher-Coulson is sympathetic to Inhumans but explaining to his class why they are feared.
b) Teacher-Coulson is teaching his class why they should fear Inhumans.
c) Teacher-Coulson is teaching his class to fear Inhumans.
I think that how willing Coulson will be to exit the Framework will depend on how he feels about Inhumans. I mean, this is AoS, they don't leave anything visible to us unless there is meaning behind it.
Since Coulson is ostensibly our 'hero' I'm hoping it's scenario a).
What'd you think?

The first time I saw this scene it was B) in mind and some C) as well. But later on I thought it might also be A). I realized it could also be interpreted that way and supported somewhat by the notes on the blackboard (Set goals, have a plan, etc and if you don't try you will never know. That way he appears to be a more free spirited mind that doesn't to spread a message of hatred.

A was always my thought. I never even considered other options. The look on his face supports A more as well. At least it does in my opinion.

The look on his face is telling me that it is C.

Yeah, there was more. Four posters above the board. The most right one says: "you never try, you never know". Then one to the left with what I can read "honest neighborly"and "talented" and "unique". One more to the left with quotes like: "Important", "kind", "necessary". And the most right one with "LOUDER xxx words" Then there is a poster with 5 quotes at the top left of the board. "Get a goal" "Make a plan" "Get to ?" "?" "Reach goal" Attachments:

My personal 'Head-Canon' is that Professor Coulson is doing contrarian day and asking the class so that he can assist them in understanding and knocking down those fears and or demonstrating that they FEAR InHumans just like other members of society had been feared. Why would Coulson want to teach fear of Inhumans in an alternate reality? For me it isn't true to his nature. Just my 2.5 cents.

Since Hydra is running the world, I think it must be: Teacher-Coulson is teaching his class to fear Inhumans.

Since Hydra is running the world, I think it must be: Teacher-Coulson is teaching his class to fear Inhumans. Yeah, that was the reason why I also thought that. And because I think he is in a relationship with top hydra agent May. Because that was whatRoboCoulson told RoboMay.

That was my first reaction, too, but then again, I think his last thirty years in Shield did shape a lot of that nature. What if, instead of working alongside powered people, aliens, gods, inhumans, for years, all he's ever seen of "special" people was them acting as aggressors? That might have changed his perspective somewhat.

That might have changed his perspective somewhat. That would suggest something even more insidious going on with Aida and the Framework. Well not more insidious as TAHITI. Planting 30 years of false memories is basically mind-rape. Putting that aside, I'm not sure how turning Coulson into someone who teaches against Inhumanism would make him want to stay in the Framework. We'll have to wait to see what the writers have in store for us. There are lots of places the writers have taken Coulson that I thought was a dis-service to the character and that would be another one. Kind of like what they did to captain America in print form and turning him into a HYDRA agent for giggles and grins. I treated it as just a One-off and a giant What-If.

I think that we are supposed to think B and/or C only to be surprised and relieved when it is really A.
However, I will throw in d) The title of the assigned reading, which may take the stand A, B, or C
It could get more complicated if Coulson disagrees with the reading. For example, it might be an essay that describes why Inhumans are dangerous only for Coulson to discuss the logical flaws in the essay.

Found this on twitter, today. Thought this was an appropriate place for it...... Good list. I would want to add one: He brought Fitzsimmons to the team. Otherwise they would have been in a lab. And they have been important on many occasions. In the field and with their tech.
