How many times cooler would it have been when Hulk shows up if we didn't know he was in this? For those familiar with Planet Hulk it would have been somewhat expected, but still. Or how epic would it have been when Hela destroyed Mjolnir if we didn't see that in the trailers?
I really look forward to the day when you can opt of trailers somehow by buying advance tickets (i.e. "I'm going to see it, stop spoiling it to try and get me to see it.")

My nephew and I had the same conversation. He swears that he does not watch trailers or youtube spots. Granted he is a fan of streaming services, doesn't go out to theaters and uses Kodi a lot. Me? I can't resist the first set of trailers and then I avoid everything else of course like the plague and Flu shots.

It's also one of the reasons I see MCU films on the first or second day they are out. It seems that the TV spots get even more spoiler-y on the opening weekend. I generally put up with the trailers before other films (i.e. the Black Panther trailer in front of this film.) but even those show me more than I'd like to see in advance.

I can forgive them for the scene with the hammer, because that happened really early, but the way Hulk's appearance was built up as a surprise in the movie really didn't go well with it being front and center in the trailers.

That's a great point. I like the way they did trailers for TDK and TDKR where they basically showed part of the first scene. It sort of still spoils the first scene but there's usually more to it that you see at the film but then the rest of the movie is almost 99% new stuff.
