Amazing time at the movies! No slow parts, lots of action, lots of laughs (see below) and plenty of big and small surprises.
It felt like a GOTG film and that's where my one concern lies. It totally fits for a Thor movie that's based in space to feel like a GOTG film. I just hope Marvel doesn't think all MCU films need to go that way. I think everyone in the film got a punchline and that's not going to work well in something like Infinity War or Black Panther. As a lighthearted Thor adventure again, totally fine. So I could be concerned about nothing.
Great use of the various source materials IMO with no major changes that people would get upset about (well, most people). Great way to merge the two main story lines. Some great new characters added or existing characters evolved in one way or another to add to the overall MCU.
Really nothing bad to say.
Thanks Marvel!

Exactly the review I was HOPING (upon hope) to read. Thanks haxemonP.S. I doubt Marvel will be as lighthearted for upcoming films. There will always be a chuckle here or there, but IW and BP won't be treated like Ant-Man, GotG or (apparently) this movie. They do a pretty good job of deciding when and where to put the funny. One of their strongest traits, IMO. It's kind of sad that they had to comedy up a Thor movie to get the patronage they're used to, and that IMO Thor deserves, but I'll take it. I've been waiting for a Thor movie to be epic and awesome and it seems this one knocked it out of the park. I can't wait to see it. Without spoiling anything, how was/were the end/mid credit scene(s)?

Without spoiling anything, how was/were the end/mid credit scene(s)? The mid-credit scene was fairly short and not really anything massive or unexpected (unless I missed a clue somewhere). The post-credit scene was pretty funny.

A bit too much comedy for my taste, actually. Yeah, I did laugh A LOT, but still, my favourite - and imo the most memorable - parts were the more serious ones, like the valkyrie's backstory, a couple of the scenes with Thor and Loki and pretty much every single scene with Hela! That woman ranks right up there as one of the absolute best MCU villains, and it's almost painful for me to think how much more awesome she and everyone else could have been in a more serious movie.
All in all, 8/10 for me.
