Glad Lockjaw is back in action.
And of course Gorgon flirts with Louise. Like we didn't see that coming since he was the only single male in the group (because karnac was with the brunette). Couldn't tell if she was flattered or more curious. Medusa cut off her response, or someone did. I think it was Medusa. It's kind of funny though since Louise first noticed the hoof marks on the moon and now the one responsible for it is flirting with her.
Sad about Lotus or whatever her name is. Hopefully Black Bolt will take her advice though. I'm glad Medusa knows her sister is out of Max's clutches.
Karnac's makeshift needle/thread was interesting, but the girl just happened to have a sewing kit in her pocket? Come on! Who does that? I mean in her purse, maybe, but pocket? That's a bit far fetched even in her line of work.
Max is kind of nearing young Anakin levels of whiny now. Even though he may have a point about how the king and queen were treating their subjects, he is way too whiny about it for my tastes.
I do think that Black bolt truly wants what is best for his people, but is misguided in his way of going about it. Medusa is coming off a little cold sometimes., but I think both can learn from others about how to be better people.

Well, episode 5 of 8, and they finally managed to make it an actually good one! Who would have thought! Yeah, kinda bummed about the Hufflepuff chick , but at the same time I thought her death was a bit cringy. First she stands there like nothing happened, then she just collapsed only for Karnack to proclaim it's a fatal wound and bam, she's dead! (Not without leaving Black Bolt with a final plead for justice, of course!) Still, no matter how much of a punk he clearly is, I'm still siding with Maximus for the most part. The exchange between tracer girl and Medusa just summed up my feelings all too well: "Finding is Locus' one true path in our society.""And you wonder why I chose Maximus." Actually, I'm pretty much hoping for a reconciliation between Maximus and the royal family, now that they're starting to see he's got kind of a point. They're obviously not bad people, but the way they've been ruling their society totally sucks and so far I still think that Maximus did Attilan a favour by kicking them out. Now he just has to show some actions and prove that he's been acting for the good of the people and not only for himself. Either way, I really enjoyed this episode, especially the characters interacting. Medusa and Black Bolt in the car was almost obnoxiously sweet ( ), despite the pretty obvious rape analogy of her story about losing her hair, and the flashback stuff with Karnack and Gorgon was hilarious. Really made these two shine this episode. Still, this was episode 5/8. Sorry guys, in the end that's gonna be too little, too late.

Lol I forgot about that flashback. How did I forget that? Loved when Karnack muttered "look good in his room" all sarcastic like a parent would say about a kid. Out of all the characters, I think Karnack and Gorgon have the best chemistry. Kind of like buddy comedy chemistry.

Lockjaw is back in action, but the question is whether Crystal will follow Karnac's example and get some action. Not looking to objectify, but Crystal looks 10 times better with the earth clothes.
Funny that they did it in the same scene, but the way I saw it, Louise was really happy having one of the inhumans talking to her like a real person - Bolt doesn't talk, Lotus didn't react much to her, and Medusa treated her like a lower life form - and it very much reflected how Gorgon had lit up with joy when Flora said how much Karnac talked about him. Such a waste to kill Lotus, I agree.
Gorgon and Karnac play off each other really well. The flashback was there to show a role reversal - on the moon, Karnac was always the one to get Gorgon out of trouble and now on Earth, Gorgon is the one getting Karnac out of trouble.
As for Maximus... I'm willing to concede that he believes he's doing the right thing, but the Anakin analogy is dead on. While Maximus doesn't have an emperor guiding him, Anakin started out doing things that did help people, but gradually got nudged into doing things that were worse and worse until he was completely evil. But Maximus is getting to be more annoying than Jar-Jar. Edit: You also can't forget that Maximus wasn't content to depose Bolt, Medusa, Gorgon, Karnac, and Crystal, he is set on killing them. If he's supposed to be a good guy then why murder when banishment would be enough?

Yeah Maximus is full of it. Though I could see a good dose of irony where Black Bolt and Medusa essentially follow through on what Maximus is BS'ing about while still shutting him down. He's just looking to rule and get some sort of powers. Not a shred of altruism IMO. I'm not loving how Medusa is being played/written like a spoiled snob or how Black Bolt seems to have let Attilan get to the point it is. But if they wrap this up in a way that sort of shows them as strong leaders then I suppose it could work.
