Jup, at least three things in the recent episode I did not see coming:

1. Ash Tyler surviving. Nope, I wasn't gonna believe it, not until he and the Captain appeared on the transporter platform and the guy was still okay. Ah, well, he might yet be killed off next week.

2. Burnham not being the one ending up in the tank. Given her dream, and the fact that she's the main character, it seemed kind of inevitable, which made me even more surprised when Stamets took the risk himself. But at least this way he got to see the network. Which leads me to...

3. The very last scene. Holy shiii... That "thing" in the mirror, what was that?! That freaked me out!

Plus, not that much of a surprise, but special mention to when they released the rat of unusual size. Poor thing went through enough!

Jemma Simmons: I will say that is one thing that Agatha All Along got right. They did a phenomenal job of planting hints throughout but it not really being obvious until the end. Reminded me of WandaVision that way. Nov 10, 2024 23:03:26 GMT

ayanami: Yeah, I wish they'd managed to throw in some Avengers cameos along the way. You know, to keep audience numbers high until the story really took off.

Jemma Simmons: LOL that would have been awesome! I got the idea they might like to do that, but I suspect the main actors were too expensive. Although we did get Fury a few times. And the occasional Maria Hill. Nov 10, 2024 23:09:58 GMT

ayanami: Also, should have scrapped and re-done episode 2 from scratch. Not a horrible episode all together, but what a slow, low-budget let-down from the pilot and the general MCU world in general. I bet the ratings drop between eps 2 and 3 was massive! Nov 10, 2024 23:11:30 GMT

Jemma Simmons: I think the other issue with the first couple seasons as far as pacing had to do with them tying in the show to the movies and not being able to address the movie on the show until the movie was released. Nov 10, 2024 23:13:19 GMT

ayanami: True. But low-budget eps right at the start of the show, special effects stolen right out of Firefly and cringy humour certainly didn't help their case, either.
