The show continues to tackle drama well while applying the comedy in the proper places to lighten the load. Not every ep can be a barn-burner and this one was not. It was plodding slow at times, but it was well written and played out. Hard hitting in the feels at times as it tackled the idea of humanity. Shame they ended up killing all the crew, though. That will prevent the Krill from seeing they actually do have souls. Only injuring the Krill and saving the children from harm would have gone a long way in achieving their goal, but......... can you say "peace mission gone awry? I hope FOX fully understands what they've got here........ a great show. I'll have to start keeping an eye on the ratings......

Tru Calling - cancelled Brisco County Jr. - cancelled Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles - cancelled Firefly - cancelled I watched this last night On Demand using my phone and enjoyed it. Obviously referencing Muslim extremists. But Ed Mercer has to be legendary within the Planetary Union now. He was sent to get a photographic copy of the Krill bible and comes back not just with the real physical bible, but a fully intact Krill heavy cruiser wrapped around it. Add to that, the Union didn't seem to know about the UV weakness of the Krill previously. Oh, and Kelly Hu looking great - going from doing commercials about E.D. to assigning a mission to Ed.

You forgot Almost Human. I loved that show. There's also, this: FOX has proven over and over again that all they care about is $$$$ and ratings.....

Well, okay, but isn't a (significant) drop-off from the pilot episode pretty common and basically expected by the networks? Seems to me that the recent ratings, after the initial drop, have been steady and even slightly increased in the demo. If that trend continues, I wouldn't be too worried for now. Plus, I think word of mouth is slowly getting out there about how good this show actually is.

It premiered huge (as premieres do) but it also premiered on Sunday where the only real competition was Sunday Night Football, then the show moved to Thursday. Is the drop reflective of a normal drop from premiere numbers or is the move from Sunday to Thursday significant as well (if so, how significant)? Hmmm......
