I'll agree that it was certainly different, but I wouldn't say weird. There are only so many superhero-type shows I can take with powered people fighting crime and/or being hunted by the authorities. At this point I'd much rather they make something unique, like Legion, and a mystery/horror show fits the bill quite well in that regard.
