That's great news (at least what I guessed based on the URL).

That's great news (at least what I guessed based on the URL). Nick Blood will reprise his role as former S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent Lance Hunter, EW has learned exclusively.
Blood made his debut in season 2 as the mercenary-turned-S.H.I.E.L.D. agent who was formerly married to Bobbi Morse (Adrianne Palicki). The duo was disavowed by S.H.I.E.L.D. in season 3 as Palicki and Blood were set to star in a spin-off, Most Wanted, that ABC ultimately passed on. Get the scoop on what wouldβve been here and here.
Details on what brings Blood back, or even how long heβll be sticking around, are being kept tightly under wraps, but EW has an exclusive first look at Blood back on set.

ayanami, I can't believe your reply was so dreary. I was expecting at least a little excitement. I was wondering why it took so long to reply (I saw you were logged in, but still no reply?); now I know why. I'll admit, I excited, too. Unlike many others, I'd prefer Bobbi not come back. For me, Hunter is way more enjoyable when Bobbi's not in the picture. Hopefully he'll resemble the pre-Bobbi Hunter of early S2.

Is it November, yet? Oh, and BTW: I read that Inhumans will have a 2 hour premiere on Sept 29th. That may mean we'll get AoS a week sooner than expected.........

Well, I'm not always actively looking at the board, even if I'm logged in. I'm one of those people who always have ten tabs open and several other programs running in the background. Plus, I was actually afk for a while, baking muffins! As far as Bobbi is concerned, I'd like her to come back as well, simply because it's been established how important she is for Hunter. If she doesn't come along (and he stays for longer than an episode or two) that means they broke up again, and I just reeeeaally don't want that! Do you know how many countless hours I've spent writing those two getting together?! They can't break them up again on the show!! But, yeah, I can definitely do without the drama or the relationship being much of a focus at all. I wholeheartedly agree that Hunter was best in (early) season 2, when he was interacting with the rest of the team and not constantly focused on Bobbi. (Though, S2b was good as well, with "Hunter vs. the Clown Academy" and Hunter, Coulson and Fitz as "The Three Amigos"! )

As long as it would be a "nice" version, I wouldn't have objected. Although I'd hardly call it the "best news I could hear this year", either. No, this thread title warrants only ONE news item. This right here!

I guess I just didn't like it when his focus was on Bobbi; it kind of took something away from the character. Although it spoke well of his loyalty to a relationship, it sometimes made him seem... less Hunterish. Anyways, I'm glad he's back. He'll bring back a brand of levity I've been missing. But, like you said: I hope he's BACK, and not just visiting.

During out latest rewatch I was actually lamenting the fact that the show didn't just drop Hunter, but James as well, whose first appearance we were watching. AoS has seriously been missing a rogue character and that's just one of many reasons why I hope Hunter will stay along for longer.
