So VFX Supervisor, Mark Kolpack, likes to occasionally drop little surprises and Easter eggs into the VFX. Tag scene of S4 where Coulson was looking out the space window, Mark had R2-D2 floating around in the space debris. He's used R2 before as he's a big Star Wars fan.
Anyway, in S5 E003, he placed another gift into the FX; but, alas, final post graded the scene so dark it wasn't really visible. A faithful fan took a screen cap and played with it a bit and posted this on Twitter:

Kolpack said this has nothing to do with foretelling events of S5 and said it's just paying homage to S4 and a skull wouldn't necessarily be out of place in this scene. The skull is Coulson Rider. They actually intended to use Mack Rider, but the artist accidentally grabbed the wrong skull (like we would have know the difference

)

ayanami: I gotta admit that "World War Z" is an incredibly cool name, but still, seems a bit pricey if you're just gonna ignore the whole rest of the novel.

ayanami: The book sounds really cool btw. It's about one guy 10 years after the zombie outbreak gathering different perspectives from a bunch of survivors, so you have like a dozen different stories/settings in the novel. Plus, the author is actually Mel Brooks'... Nov 24, 2024 23:12:58 GMT
