Wow, what a great response this thread has received already! Thanks everyone I perhaps slightly misnamed it from my intent, but that is OK. I was looking for those oh-so-special songs, you know, the two or three you had (or would like to have) played at your wedding. In that regard, here's one that my best man had played at his own wedding...and a truly beautiful song.

You want wedding songs? Here's the song from when me and Mrs. Math tied the knot:

This one could actually go in the surprise concert thread....... Shortly after moving to Arkansas, Mrs. Math told me she got free tickets to a concert the coming Saturday. So, on Saturday, off we went to Hot Springs convention center. The concert was part of an outdoors-man show. The show was really small in comparison to the gun and boat shows I went to in Phoenix, but the band was one of our favorites and I couldn't believe we got tickets to see them for free. So, as show time approached we made our way to the venue and was surprised to see that only about 300 or so people showed up to see Lone Star. We were center stage about 15 or 20 rows back. As they prepped to play this song they asked how many women chose this for their wedding song....... about 30 hands went up in the air.

You want wedding songs? Here's the song from when me and Mrs. Math tied the knot: There ya go, DoTheMath! That's what I was talking about. I really like the direction the thread took, though, and in that spirit, here are a couple more that are contenders for me, and I would not bet a dollar to a million that they have not been played at lots more than one wedding. That second one, by EJ, has one line that does bug me though. The girl that inspired the thread in the first place...the one that got away...Oh I remember the color of her eyes vividly. A beautiful honey-mahogany brown... As a blushing, staring-at-my-shoes-all-the-while, highly embarrassed very young, (late bloomer 21 yr. old man?) man, I bought that girl a dress for her 18th birthday. To this day, I don't know if she ever wore it. Yet we have remained dearest of friends for over 40 years, and shared too many memories for the rest of it to matter. I miss her dearly, so far away in Oregon now.
