Honestly, I'm really peeved about those huge fricking spoilers that were leaked the other day. I'm not gonna discuss any details here, not even under spoiler tags, I just hope that whoever is responsible for that screw-up really was fired! Thankfully, I have no idea what you're talking about. |

Are we sure they're real and not actually foilers? Sometimes tptb put out fake spoilers to tease fans. It mostly happens with TV shows, but has happened with a movie or two. |

The spoilers were revealed pretty much by accident, but I can't even say how without indicating what they're about. Pretty sure they're real, though. |

Gonna watch it on Thursday or Friday! Now that I've gotten over the initial IW hype what with the trailer and all, I'm finally super excited to see Star Wars.
Is it just me, though, or does anyone else think it weird how little marketing there was, rearding trailers? (Or did I just not see anything, because the sites I frequent didn't post it?) Ragnarok was was almost an over-exposure concerning the number of trailers and clips they gave us, and even IW's first trailer almost broke the internet, but for SW I can't remember anything except that one big trailer. Weird...

Finally saw it, wohooo!! Great movie, really! Not, perfect, but lots and lots of awesome stuff and a HUGE improvement - and tons of pay-off - from The Force Awakens. I'm gonna add a few more general impressions, mostly on the characters, but no actual plot spoilers. Still gonna put it in spoiler tags, for the purists out there:
First of all, gorgeous cinematography! Seriously, this is Oscar material right there and if this movie doesn't at least get a nomination, something is seriously wrong with this world.
Rey and Kylo Ren were the heart of the movie for me. Especially his part was a vast improvement from the first movie. Same goes for Grandmaster Snoke. Pretty much a joke in TFA, but here... damn!
Did you know that Poe Dameron was supposed to die in the crash landing at the start of The Force Awakens? They only changed their minds after Oscar Isaac was cast for the role - hence his rather clunky plot line in that movie. But, seriously, was that ever the right decision!! Poe was my favourite character in the first movie and he continues to rock!
There's one big complaint I do have, though, that I can let out without spoiler tags: Yes, the old cast from the original movies continues to shine, but I gotta say, the order of the cast list is a joke! It already was in TFA and it still is. Yeah, sure, we all love Luke and Leia, just like Han, but they are NOT more important to this particular story than Rey, Kylo, Finn and Poe. The cast list should reflect this, no matter who gets the bigger pay check or who's the bigger name in the industry. This is almost as bad as listing Marlon Brando before Christopher Reeve in the original Superman! Oh, and Daisy Ridley should also be listed before Adam Driver! Just saying... |
