I guess we'll never know who it was that made Kirsten lie......
I'm betting the drop in viewers was because it drew a sci-fi audience and half of them were driven away because they turned the show into a big ship-fest. Everyone had to be paired off with each other. Or it could be because S3 went to sh!t. S1 stated off good with a lot of potential, S2 carried the same momentum, by the end of S3 you could tell the only momentum was gravity pulling it down hill. That's not to say I wouldn't have watched S4, but IMO the show was starting to loose its appeal a bit.

I read that the Halloween ep was a stand-alone and intentionally had no continuity with the series. Pissed off a lot of fans; they coulda made it a good story that still had continuity with the series........ but, IIRC, they still weren't sure about a S2 yet when they filmed it. I've only seen it once and barely remember it (it didn't make my DVR library for some reason). I agree about physical media; would add it to my collection in a heartbeat. I guess The big "T" is the only way to get it and that's not in my wheelhouse...... You're right about Cam's mom. I forgot about her. She did come across as an uppity B. Now that you brought her up, I kinda don't want Mommy Dearest to show....... It'll be interesting to see how Cam does with Daddy dearest, though. Also anxious to see how Maggie is when she gets back from D.C. and if she has any insight for the team........... also, how much ass she's gonna kick because of their shenanigans. The problem with the Halloween episode is the schedule for the series - the episodes aired from June through August so October is between seasons. And due to the cliffhanger with dead Cameron (really stupid by the way, did anyone really think he'd stay dead?), the episode lacked a place that it fit in. Granted all three seasons appear to take place within a few months, but that doesn't really help. The one cool thing they could have done would have been to get the guy she stitched into in the episode to appear with all the other previous stitches while she was in the mind of the autistic guy. Cameron's mom reminds me somewhat of Leonard's mom in TBBT. While I think Catherine Dent is great, it would have been really funny to get Christine Baransky to play her.

Didn't know she was in a band, that's cool. I'm still on the fence about Ivy too, but I think she's okay. Until her dad tries to manipulate her, of course. Yeah, the "keep them apart" issue is crazy. I guess they wanted to go a different route than "boss tells them it's against company policy to date". I'm thinking since a lot of fans wanted Camille to have a girlfriend, the writers decided to do it now in case there is no season four, which would also explain why they went ahead and put Camsten together. What was said about the mom? About her brain being advanced? I can't recall much more than that. Yeah, about her brain having evolved. I kinda did some caseyrook AKA Mechelle level of deep dive thinking and started to think she is (is going to be) the Professor X of Stitchers. It occurred to me , I think, during the second ep this season. The way Blair was talking about her evolution and the intent of the program being, basically, telepathy. I remembered back to last season finale where in the stitch of the doctor dude that ended up in her stasis pod was talking to her and said he couldn't wait to reveal all she told him. Was that just the words of a dude that's been locked up with a stasis pod for too long or was she really and truly communicating with him telepathically? Then in this season's opener, Kirsten gets a direct message from her that didn't come from Cameron. Another blast of telepathy? It was actually Ali Scag that started the "Camille should be bisexual" issue. She was pretty adamant about it. I remember seeing her talk about it during a round table at one of the Cons. Once the fans saw that........ they pushed the issue, too. Can't wait to find out WTF is going on. Looks like things are gonna get crazy next ep......... I wasn't too fond of telepathy turning out to be the endgame. Kirsten was showing some signs of retaining abilities from the stitches - firing a gun, speaking to the pop star's father in his own language, and some fight moves there was no indication she had learned by actual training. I know, it wouldn't be new. It was done with Echo in Dollhouse and Alice in Elm Street 4: Dream Master, not to mention a bit of Chuck from Chuck.

Everyone had to be paired off with each other. It's not just that. It was pretty evident from ep one that Cam/Kirsten would get together. The biggest part was probably the soapy storylines that kept them apart. Not to mention the fact that the writers took the best ep (in my opinion), the Halloween special and swatted it away as just a dream Cam had when he was "dead". That annoyed the piss out of me. They could have said it took place shortly before Cam and Fisher were shot at. it was too good an ep to be explained away so nonchalantly. Good writers could always find a way to fit it in. Many fanfic writers did..and made it plausible. If fans could do it, the actual writers could. It just seemed lazy writing to me to brush it off that way.

In fact they probably could have gotten away with just having Cameron say, "For some reason I was dreaming about the case when Camille threw a Halloween party at the killer's house." instead of the 'angel and hero' line.
