One Hit Wonders

I was half expecting (hoping?) for a comment like this from you.  Yes, perspective definitely comes into play.....
There may even be people here in the U.S. that bought all of Falco's albums and loved everything he did as the genre was very popular with a certain crowd.  If not for MTV I wouldn't have ever known (or, at least, paid attention to) Falco's big hit; and Rock Me Amadeus is the only thing I remember seeing of his on MTV.  Def didn't hear it on the radio stations I listened to........ 

I thought Falco had done decently with Der Kommissar.  
I'm betting you find it amusing when the English versions of songs by Nena and Falco get called 'translations'.  While I can't in any way be said to speak German, the individual words I do know are enough to tell me they're nowhere close.

Wow, polgara, I forgot half of these even existed.  Ur stock keeps rising......
