My favorite Cartwright, and knowing he can sing like this only makes him more attractive.

He has been called the Perry Como of Country music. My brother took me to see him in concert in the 1970s. He sang this song at the beginning and the end of his concert. I loved it. The memory of it kept tickling my mind so I found it on YouTube many years later.

Harry Belafonte died this morning. He was an activist who, among other things, helped organize the March on Washington. He was an actor in films from Carmen Jones (1954) to Odds Against Tomorrow (1959) to BlacKkKlansman (2018). Appropriate to this thread, he was also a singer.
If you are familiar with any Harry Belafonte song, it is probably "Day-O (The Banana Boat Song)." This is a fun version:
If you are familiar with a second Belafonte song, it is probably "Jump in the Line (Shake, Senora):"
A beautiful rendition of a beautiful song, "Abraham Martin & John." This is especially poignant knowing that Belafonte was friends with the Martin in this song.
Here are three more of his songs ("Jamaica Farewell," "Hold 'em Joe," and "Coconut Woman"):
