Did a little looking around in the help section and found out the Shout Box is basically an IM feature.
If any of you like to live chat during a show, you can do it in the Shout Box (pretty sure it's visible to all members on line).
Pretty cool feature.
Be fun to live chat AoS (but it could mess up the west coasters and mountain people if the east/central coasters are chatting).
Don't know if it has a hide or disable function for users, though. I'll play around some more and see if I can finger it out............

Cool feature! I definitely love the idea of doing a live watch of the show. Maybe we could give it a try for the next show and see how it goes. I personally don't mind spoilers, but I watch the first run on the East coast. How does everyone else feel about it?

//Edited to add that I do have an admin tool to clear all the shouts, so I could clear the conversation after a live watch. It wouldn't keep a later viewer from seeing it while chat was going on, but if they knew ahead of time, they'd have the option to avoid it until it's cleared.

Where is the shout box? Is it available on the mobile site? If not, I will have to use the iPad. I should be able to see it on here. The one on mlp works for me, so... It would definitely be fun to live chat on here during the episode. It could be like ms3tk.  |

Haven't used this site on a portable device so I don't know what features work and which don't on the app. On a desktop/laptop it's always at the bottom of the page. The cool thing is, it follows you wherever you go in the forum. Go from a thread on the AoS board to a thread in the common room and the shout box follows you and stays live. You can do what ever you always do in here AND stay current on a chat while you're doing it. Pretty cool....... |

Might also be nice to, every now and then, do it with the movies too. Maybe schedule a "MCU movie night" where we can see if we can sync up and watch one of the movies at exactly the same time

Maybe that should be our first movie night. Let's see how our live watch goes tomorrow and then plan a time. 😄 |
