Well, time to make my seasonal statement.
AIDA needs to die. Painfully. And slowly. And painfully. Not sure how that can be done, but it needs to be done.
How did May figure it out? (Or is she just turning against HYDRA when she saw the kids? Is it next Tuesday yet?

I think the thing with the kids made her turn. See, letting the girl live who then killed a bunch of other kids was supposed to be Hydra's reason for rounding up Inhumans. Now she knows that was a lie.

I'm still upset that Mace was killed!

I think it's more than that. While saving the kid, Coulson tells her "Snap out of it May!". Clearly Coulson (and Jemma) knows her. I'm pretty sure she suspects something is wrong. But either way, she really chose an awesome way to enlist some help...

(Hey! How'd you get the hide function?) Yeah, it was at that point I decided AIDA needed to die. That and offering up Lincoln to Quake. Oh, and let me add that I hate that I like this Ward.

[ spoiler ] spoiler text goes here [ / spoiler ] without the spaces in the brackets. Since Mace is dead, does that mean that Ward is now Director of Framework Shield?

Well, time to make my seasonal statement. AIDA needs to die. Painfully. And slowly. And painfully. Not sure how that can be done, but it needs to be done. You can't blame her. It was just circumstances that made her evil. As a matter of fact, no one is a hero or evil. Just the wrong step out of bed makes one evil and with the right step you become a hero. That's the lesson we learned in this episode.

That's the lesson we learned in this episode. Can't blame her? Look at her decisions. Bringing in Fitz's father specifically to manipulate him. Bringing in Tripp, who Daisy always blamed herself for his death. (Notice Tripp's appearance coincides with Daisy's interrogation.) Making Jemma dead, the love of Fitz's life. Bringing down the building even though she knew Mace, Jemma and Coulson were inside, and actually killing Mace. Slitting Radcliffe's throat, then taking away anything of importance to him in the framework. Making May think she was the entire reason for the rise of HYDRA. Using Mack to betray Daisy. And worst of all, making Ward a good guy. Darkhold's influence or not, every decision she's made has been evil, when they didn't have to be.

Good intentions led to where they so often do.

They are trying to make us believe that no-one is good or evil or heroic. It is just up to chance to what you will become. Not who you are. Not that I buy that.

I think they're sort of setting up the opposite in fact. i.e. that one of the flaws with AIDA's framework is the lack of understanding a person's character. Ward seems good and altruistic - almost how Skye used to picture him, Coulson was meek and towing the line - something he's never been IRL, Fitz is of course the most extreme example. I think the character will come through in the end that will sort of be the "lesson" - that AIDA overlooked that in her planning.

I'm going to have to admit, that I really thought Daisy's line at the end was really cheesy.
I'm sure it's true, but, man.
Otherwise, it was a great ending.
I wonder if she will be Quake or something else?

I'm still upset that Mace was killed!
He did based on what he hoped to do.
He always felt guilty about the Vienna incident and now he can make amends but paid a price.
