Keeps getting better (for me at least). I did an immediate re-watch of episode 7 last night. Partly because I enjoyed (and they're not long episodes) but partly to connect everything. Very well done and Patti LuPone was incredible.

It was a lot to follow to be sure. One little inaccuracy - one of them said it goes badly for the one who had the trial, but the first trial was the potions yet it was Mrs. Forman who died, not Jennifer.

I’m finally caught up! I have to say, I am quite enjoying this show! I did see the first big character reveal coming, but not the second. I knew it was going to be pretty major because the actress involved dropped hints, but didn’t see it going that direction. Makes me wonder if we’ll see her in some future aspects of the franchise because she does play a pretty significant role in the comics.
I also have to agree about Patti LuPone! However, as a huge theatre nerd, I’m totally biased there and would watch her in pretty much anything! 😁

Apparently they performed live at one of the conventions not too long ago and it just yesterday appeared in my recommendations.
And Katherine without the others gave major general history of Marvel on one of the late night talk shows

Ha, yeah I am kind of surprised they haven't featured Patti more in some of the music. She's kind of known for being a bit of a diva... rightfully so because she's insanely talented. Even back in her Les Miz days, she was known to sneak out of the theatre after she died in Act 1 and go get coffee and then come back right before her appearance at the end of Act 2. Once that was discovered, all future Fantines were also assigned some random ensemble stuff to do.  I think how much Katherine Hahn is enjoying the role is one of the reasons I am having such a great time watching it! |

If anyone hasn't started on this one yet, Oct 30 they're dropping the final two episodes. Meaning someone could start a binge watch now/soon and be through all 9 episodes Wednesday night.

Don't take this too seriously, but I had a strange thought about the song. If Agatha came up with the idea and wrote the song and lyrics back in the 1750's, she should have the rights to it and be entitled to royalties. This would include Alice's mom who had a huge hit single with it. As I recall, public domain isn't until after the artist has been dead for a while. Yes, it would be difficult for her to prove. 😺😺😺

Just finished the series. Very solid. I didn’t expect to enjoy it nearly as much as I did. Definitely a good follow up to WandaVision.

Also, just a random thing I noticed with Agatha. As much as everyone said not to trust her, she never seemed to be untruthful when asked questions. She might not give the entire truth, but she didn't seem to outright lie.

Can't say I felt too sorry for the witches she killed - every single one of them attacked her. And why did they attack? Because she questioned their abilities because the door didn't open. Granted, she goaded them a bit, but any of them who accepted the failure and didn't lash out would have survived.

Yeah it reminded me of Fae "rules" around lying where they get very good at leading you to the wrong answer without actually lying explicitly. |
